"Hey there, Lapis." he said lightly to his feline dorm mate before he set his tray down once being seated. The red head resumed to eat his food, listening to the chatter of those around him. Feeling someone familiar hug him, he leaned against the female alchemist. "Alright then. Talk to you later." As he caught a whiff of Maiaras scent, he glanced around curiously. Of course he couldn't see anything, but he was hearing for her footsteps. It seemed she thought he didn't want her to sit with him. Now the shifter felt guilty. "Do you two see a girl named Maiara? I promised she could eat with me." He had no clue how she looked like.

Nerine smirked at Afon. "Thus why we're off now. Good luck trying to get everyone else out." She was immensely glad she wasn't the head of house. She liked her freedom, and having seen some of the things that the previous Heads had done and gone through, it wasn't something she would be happy to take over. Unfortunately, she might be in the running the next year. Damn competitiveness. Eyes turning back to John, she nodded. "You share a room with someone until you reach a certain year." Giving a wave to the others, she smiled and led John out of the cafeteria. "We can go and get you to your room, if you would like. Or I can show you the lake? Or, the stables hell, even where the classrooms are. What's your poison?" she asked, smirking. She of course, meant what he enjoyed to do the most.

The man walked into the dining hall having not ate all day.He smiles faintly at every one else as he makes his way to the line,His foot hits the grown softly as he reaches out toward the tray grasping it,He makes his way toward the line and slides the tray just grabbing what ever he can.He Walk towards the students as he had a ghost of a smile on his scarred face.He sat down slowly as he took a Spork and placing it in the brownish Meat.He looks up from the food as he mutters out "Hello".

  3. Characters in this post:
John had expected to share a room with someone but not that he would get his own one in later years. He grunted in response before he pondered Nerine's suggestions. It would probably be a good idea to go to his room so that he knew where it was and could put away his backpack. Then it would be nice to see the lake. He was fascinated by water; to swim in it, surf on it, tan by it etc. After a moment he had settled his decision and looked back at Nerine. "Should probably check out the room, dunno who I'll share it with 'tho," he said before adding with a small smile. "Then I would like to see the lake."

So, ten minutes. Lapis was roughly a third of the way through his food. He tried to do the math in his head, then gave up. He started eating slightly faster. He was never one to waste food. He had gone hungry enough times to have a habit of clearing his plate. There were actually more people coming into the dining hall. They must be new and therefore ignorant of the time frame here.

The dorm conversation sent the cat monster's mind onto a different track. He hadn't bothered to make any requests regarding rooms, and hadn't gone to check whether he had ended up with a double or a single. Perhaps he should go check. After he was done eating, of course. Despite his thoughts on the matter, he didn't bother to contribute anything to the conversation.

    "Oh my gosh."

After Vega had finished playing, she then looked at the music sheets that she had written down the notes on. She was certain that she could see faint outlines of letters on the top. She was very certain of what the title would be. Vega grabbed a pencil and scribbled the title in, adrenaline pumping through her veins. The music sounded so perfect that she could hear her ears ring. She hoped nothing would go wrong when the moment came.

Replaying the music in her head, she began to fuss about the music composition itself. "I think it's too high. I don't want to damage their ears. Plus, I don't think it's fit to be a song that would be used for a proposal." The more she thought about it, the more flaws she could point out. Vega was tempted to erase the whole composition and start all over again, but she had had enough. She hated the fact that she was doubting herself.

"It's my music and it's perfect the way it is. I've worked hard on it!" Vega exclaimed, raising her fist in determination. She realized that she had been talking aloud to herself for quite some time.

"I think it's time for me to head to the Dining Hall." At that point, Vega then packed her violin, the music sheets, and the bow in her case. Walking to her room, she picked out a nice dress with swirling colors of green and violet, much like her powers. After making sure that she looked 'okayish' to her eyes, Vega headed out, leaving her violin case in the mansion. She could get it anytime if she wanted to. This was how she grabbed her violin whenever she was out at the Courtyard a while ago.

    (( Vega is going here.))

  6. Characters in this post:
(( Vega came from here. ))

Vega was glad that she had picked out a pretty 'casualish'/not-really-formal dress. It was obvious that the celebration would take place later at night. At the smell of food, her stomach rumbled in protest. 'Ach. I knew I should have eaten before I went to the mansion,' she thought, absentmindedly rubbing her empty stomach.

She then went to get herself a sandwich, a granola bar, and some water. She wasn't that hungry, but it would do to calm her complaining stomach.

  7. Characters in this post:
As the students went about the rest of their routine, they were drawn into the dinning hall where they were greeted with the best banquet they had ever had. The food was beyond perfection. The atmosphere was perfect. The students were in their bliss. When the Headmaster opened up the ceremony, the food was removed and all eyes were set on her. She welcomed them to the school and hoped that they would all enjoy their stay.

After a nice little story about the school, she introduced the staff. Some teachers got more cheers than others, which made the newcomers aware of which teachers were the "favorites."

When the evening finally came to its end, each of the House Heads were told to read a passage to the students, which described their new families. They were also presented with their class robes and emblems. Emblems, as instructed, were to be worn at all times. Robes weren't necessary unless you were a first or second year.

With the speeches being wrapped up, the Student Heads of Houses escorted their tables away toward their dorms where they would have a brief meeting to explain the clan rules. Some of them were sort and simple, others were plain and rather dull. And then, one of the houses, had a rather long-winded speech, which put most of the students to sleep (standing upright!).

Finally, as the evening came to an end, everyone was rushed off to bed. When they would awaken, the first day of school would be upon them.

It was now Monday, September 13th. The day was surprisingly nice. Too bad everyone was stuck inside.

  8. Characters in this post:
It is a new day. You should be waking up in your dorms and going to your first class. Students who don't attend class get a strike on their profile. Three strikes and you're expelled from school.

    Schedules can be found here.

  9. Characters in this post:
Waking with a huge yawn, Nerine stretched out on her bed, cracking her neck to get rid of any kinks. Normally not an early riser, in fact, she hated being woken up so early, she was surprisingly in a good mood. Maybe because she was actually happy to be back in school. As odd as that sounded. Summer was fine and all, but she missed the busy schedule of the academy.

The night before had been quite fun. She had shown John to his room and took him on a mini tour of the grounds, starting from the lake, as she had promised. From there she took him to where the classrooms were. So he wouldn't be lost. It would be a shame if he got lost on his first day of classes. Once they had been done with the tour, she had to leave him in his dorm before she herself had to rush to get ready for the ceremony. It'd been a blur for the most part after that.

Looking out her window, she smirked at the weather. It was a really nice day. Seeing the time on her alarm clock she groaned, getting out of bed to get ready. Considering she knew that classes started at 9, she would have to get dressed and then head to her first class. What that was, she had momentarily forgotten. Truthfully, Nerine had only glanced at the schedule briefly before tossing it onto her desk. She was halfway out of her shirt once she'd changed into a pair of snug jeans before realizing that she didn't even have a class until 10. She'd woken up two hours earlier for no reason.

That almost put a damper on her mood. An eye twitched in slight irritation before the alchemist's gaze turned toward her bed. Debating. The bed was warm and inviting, almost coaxing her into returning to its embrace. She could sleep, or she could wander around until she had to get to class. Dropping back the silky shirt on her body, she jumped back into bed, rolling in the blankets and cuddled her pillow. One more hour of sleep couldn't hurt.

  10. Characters in this post:
John woke up early the next day. He had been sure to check his schedule before he went to sleep last night. It would be bad to miss the first day in school! He didn't want to get expelled.

Yesterday Nerine had shown him around the school. He appreciated that. The school was big and he didn't want to get lost when trying to find his class. The only thing that bothered him was that they hadn't spent much time by the lake. But they were in a hurry, with the big ceremony and all. He wanted to go back there when he could. I hoped he could find his way though...

He had also met his room mate. They hadn't spoken much and John wasn't sure which year he was going either. He hadn't decided if it was a possible friend or just a room mate. With these thoughts in mind he got up from bed to do his morning routine: take a shower, get dressed, brush his teeth and do some morning exercise. He had to work around it though as this was a different environment than home. He grabbed his clothes, key and toilet bag before going to the bathroom. After he had showered he took on his clothes and brushes his teeth. Then he walked out of the mansion while adjusting his robe. He wasn't used to it yet.

[John is going to the Dining Hall for a quick bite before class]

  11. Characters in this post:
John walks into the Dining Room. He does see a few people sitting spread around the room. No familiar faces however. After he has looked around the room he walks up to the counter where grabs a bowl and silverware. He walks down the line and fills the bowl with milk, cereal, and dried fruits & berries. Approaching the end of the counter he takes a glass which he fills with orange juice. He then walks away from it and over to a table where he sits down. A quick look on the clock tells him he got about half an hour before class starts. He returns his gaze back to his bowl and begins eating his breakfast as quick as he can.

  12. Characters in this post:
"Mmmhmm... I'll be up in a second, Deirdre."

Vega then opened her eyes, emitting a small groan. 'Ugh... Morning already?' She then sat up on her bed and stretched, moaning whenever cracking sounds emanated from her back. She then stood up and looked at herself in the mirror. Glancing over her room, Vega realized that she hadn't unpacked most of her stuff yet. The only sign of occupancy was her violin case and the dress that she had worn the night before.

The banquet was superb. It was obvious that the young lady had a wonderful time. The only thing that seemed to dampen her exuberant mood the night before was the robes. 'First and second years have to wear the robes,' she thought as she took a quick shower. 'Huh. What's the point of the robes anyway? I would rather wear my birthday suit under them. It doesn't seem like anyone is going to strip me anyway.'

Picking out a pair of jeans and her 'Listen' shirt, despite what she had thought earlier, Vega then looked at her now-clean self in the mirror. Vay placed the robe on, brushing away a stray strand of hair, and made faces at herself.

    "First day..."

(( Vega is headed here for some breakfast. ))

  13. Characters in this post:
*Ember wakes up in her dorm room, stretching like a cat. She couldn't really remember the night before except that Levi had brought her food and that they had talked a little before he left.....did she fall asleep after that? It was hard to recall things like that sometimes...*

*Tristan was already awake and watching Ember from his perch on her desk. He had taken his avian form as soon as he had gotten out of his bed, since it was easier to watch from higher up and he could only do so as a bird.*

"Morning, sleepy head. We have class in about an hour so you should get dressed and head down to the science classroom before you get us both in trouble. We don't want to get kicked out of another school, do we?"

*Ember groaned at her Guard, getting up and dressing. She was a little frustrated about having to wear a class robe because it was a little bulky and another way for people to label her. She was tired of all the labels she had: winged freak, shapeshifter, second-year, rebel, dangerous, murderer...when all she wanted to be was herself.

Shaking her head she pulled out her dagger and cut two wing sized slits in the back of her robe, slipping it on to make sure it fit. Hopefully nobody would chatise her for doing so...she only did it to make herself more comfortable and give her room for her wings. She couldn't possibly be the first student to do so, right? She pinned on her emblem before turning to Tristan and smiling as she tossed him the other robe.*

I think you have to wear one too since they gave you one and technically you are a second year as well. If I have to suffer a label, so do you.

*Tristan laughed and quickly morphed to put on his modified robe as well. He did not agree with the rule either, but it was better than having them both in trouble. He then pulled on his backpack as Ember did the same, both exiting the room and fleeing down the hall to class.*

Too bad we don't have any classes with Levi today....
    ((They are going here.))

  14. Characters in this post:
Vega quickly grabs a sandwich and a glass of orange juice. Looking around, she noticed that there were a few tired faces and then other faces that looked like they could burst from excitement. 'It seems there are people who are rather excited about first day,' Vay thought, munching her sandwich.

Looking at her watch, Vega realized she had less than half an hour to get to class. She didn't necessarily panic, but she isn't calm, either. She looked like she was a mixture of both.

  15. Characters in this post:
Finishing any last minute thing, Sotaria was in her classroom. Having eaten earlier, all she had to do was prepare for her firsst class. Her luck, it was the Sixth years she was teaching first thing today. Basically easy enough. She was going to start it off with a basic recap of what they were to go over that year, then a quiz to see where they were standing. The basics considering it was the first day of classes. Everyone would be a bit too scatterbrained to have much stick. Depending on how fast they got done with the quiz, maybe she would start them on the first lesson.

  16. Characters in this post:
John looked up from his breakfast for a moment and spotted a girl he hadn't seen before. She was dressed in the same robe as himself and he figured she was a mage too. He wondered for a second which year she was in. He would probably find that out one day. He then returned to his breakfast and glanced a bit around the room. He saw a few students sitting around the room. He didn't notice anymore mages though.

After he had finished his breakfast he got up from his seat. He then walked across the room and over to the wash room where he left his dishes. After he had cleaned his hands he walked out of the Dinner to get to his class on time.

    [[John is heading here ]]

  17. Characters in this post:
Vega quickly finished off her breakfast, spotting a mage with the same robe that she was wearing, and hastily stood up. She wanted to get to class on time, but she couldn't help but notice the other male with the same robe. 'And I thought that I saw everyone in the mansion,' she thought, then shrugging to herself.

Vega then went off to her Defense against Evil class.

  18. Characters in this post:
John walks into the classroom for Defense Against Evil. He looks around the room. It looks like any ordinary class room only with some strange things sitting on the shelves. It seems that he's early as he can't see any other people in the room. He walks over to a table and sits down. He then picks up a block, pen and one of the books he had received. He then opened the block on it's first page and grabbed the pen which he twirled around while he waited for more people.

  19. Characters in this post:
"Defense against Evil, right?" Vega asked herself as she entered the room. She then looked around, noting the strange objects upon the shelves. It took her a moment to realize that there was no one there. Her eyes then set upon a young male who was wearing the same robes as she is.

"Hi there," she greeted. There was time for them to chat, even for a little while. There doesn't seem to be a teacher around, anyway.

  20. Characters in this post:
Haden entered the Magicians mansion and looked around. "So this will be my new home. It seems rather unique." Haden shook his head and hiked his bag on his shoulder better. (Now where can I find my room) he thought to himself Haden looked for someone that seemed to be in charge. He saw a few people but none screamed leader to him. His hood was pulled over his face more to cover anything that might show. The last thing he wanted was to be remembered by those he didn't care to be around.

  21. Characters in this post:
John had been occupied with his own thoughts when someone called out after him. He looked into the direction of the voice and saw another student, a girl with blue, almost black hair. He noticed she was also wearing a purple robe, just like himself. He assumed she was a mage too. He then gave her a smile. "Hello there. I'm John, what's your name?" he replied to her greeting.

  22. Characters in this post:
"I'm Vega. Vay, for short. Nice to meet you, John." Vega smiled as she searched for an empty seat. The atmosphere was rather nice and it was easy to talk to him. There wasn't the awkwardness that she usually felt whenever she talked to those of the opposite gender. 'It's probably because I have already met Jaden and Aiden. They certainly were nothing like I have expected,' she thought, finally finding a vacant chair for her to sit on.

As she alighted on her seat, Vega then asked, "Let me guess, you're wearing the same robes as I do and we have the same class. Does that mean that you're a first year?" She wasn't fully used to the rules of the school and wanted to get acquainted with those who she would be seeing, almost, every day.

  23. Characters in this post:
Maiara had awoken early and went for a morning hunt in the forest. It was going to be such a nice day and would be wasted if she didn’t take advantage of the good weather get some hunting and training in. Once she was deep in the forest she shifted into her tiger from to start her hunt. Being in this form felt good when was the last time she had shifted? It probably had been the day before she left to come back to the academy. Since she hadn’t been able to travel like she normally would she didn’t have a chance to shift into her other forms. She walked quietly keeping aware of her surroundings. Her large paws did not make a sound as she stepped lightly in search of breakfast. Sure the academy provided a variety of foods for the students, but nothing could beat a fresh meal that you killed yourself in her opinion.

After about twenty minutes of waiting a average sized doe came out from a group of trees. Perfect. She lowered her body to the ground, watching and waiting intently for the right moment to strike. A few minutes passed before the deer was right where she wanted it. Slowly she crept up on the doe, not making a sound. Time for breakfast. I'll just have enough time to eat, then clean up before heading the science if all goes well. Once in position she made her move, charging full speed at the frightened doe who stood there wide eyes staring at her. The poor deer made an attempt to run, but it wasn't quick enough. Mai pounced on it's back, digging her claws into it's flesh. The deer kicked, one of its hooves hitting her in the stomach. She let out a roar, letting go of the doe. It took off again, but she wasn't about to let it get away. Chasing after it she lunged at the doe's neck, clamping down with her teeth. This time her prey wouldn't get away. After about five minutes of struggling the deer finally died. She let go of it's neck and began to have her breakfast.

Jacquelyn sighed as she entered the room to Shapeshifting 101. The room was deserted. Usually she liked that, but she couldn't help but he eager as to who her classmates were.

"H...Hello?" she called hesitantly, her voice echoing slightly through the empty room.

Charts covered the walls on things like safety while shapeshifting and what to do in certain situations. Jacquelyn hummed absent-mindedly as she walked around, looking at everything with fascination.

  25. Characters in this post:
Noah walked into the school courtyard of his new home and workplace. The school was a grand place to be sure, although he wasn't exactly ecstatic about the job in the first place. Teaching magic wasn't an easy task for anyone. So many things could go wrong from ambitious young mages blowing themselves up, to Magical disasters that could destroy the entire school. Mechanically, The new teacher brought a cigarette to his mouth, lighting it and taking a long drag. He sighed and looked about the intricate and beautiful architecture. It wouldn't be a while until he started his own classes but he could at least get the lay of the land.

"Let's see... There are several obvious sniper positions throughout the school. It would be wise to find someplace an enemy wouldn't expect..."

Needless to say, Noah wasn't the average teacher. In fact, what was in his suitcase was the kind of contraband that would get him thrown out of any normal school. Luckily he and the school had an understanding. In boredom, Noah leaned against a pillar and took another drag of his smoke. He was slowly beginning to wonder just what civilian life would be like.

  26. Characters in this post:
John smiled at Vega and nodded. He then gave her a curious look. He had never seen somone with eyes in different colors. however he was familair with the condition. The girl seemed nice and John hoped they would go along well. It felt good to get to know someone in his own age and class too. The previous people he had met had all been in other years. "You're a first year too, right?" John then replies.

  27. Characters in this post:
Vega nodded, a smile on her face. 'Finally! Someone who's like me... in a way.' She noted that he looked like an average male. He didn't have eyes in different colors. But that didn't hinder her smile. 'That means that our schedules match and all that stuff.' She then asked, even though she was a bit hesitant, "Is your dorm in the Magician's Mansion?"

  28. Characters in this post:
Finishing her breakfast Maiara licked her once white paws that were now stained crimson. Going on a hunt had been a good idea she decided. Purring contently she looked around to make sure she was still alone. The forest was quiet with only the sound of a light breeze whispering through the trees. After a moment she padded off in the direction of the small river. No one else would be out here in the forest right? So I should have time to take a quick deep in the river to get cleaned up before going to my boring science class. Luckily for her she was only about a ten minute walk from the river. When she finally reached it she shifted back into her human form so it would be easier to clean. Her clothes were still tucked away where she had hidden them earlier before going hunting or at least she hoped they were. She stretched a bit before entering the cool water. She shivered slightly at first, but was soon use to the water. “Mmmm,” she purred, smiling. This was one of the only places here at the academy that reminded her of home. This spot was one of her favorites since it was deep enough here to swim and dive. She swam out a little ways before diving. Under the water she swam further out, watching for fish that might make a good meal later on if she wanted to go fishing. After a couple of minutes she resurfaced, gasping slightly for air.

  29. Characters in this post:
Listella peeked into the courtyard, looking around for the Superhuman's dorms. She bit her lip and came out from behind the wall she was behind. She turned and looked up towards the wall, allowing her mind to take in the intricate designs on the wall. It was pretty, but what colors was it? She sighed angerily and spun away from it. She turned her head towards a sound- a voice. It belongs to a man, that was all she could tell so far, and the only way she could find out more was if she walked up to him.

As much as she didn't want to talk to someone, she was lost and her bags were getting heavy. She frowned at herself and then pulled her lips into a slight smile and walked up to the voice. Her suitcase seemed to roar as it dragged behind her and the bags hanging off of her back and hands made a soft clicking sound as she walked.

"Excuse me, sir." she said, trying to get the man's attention. "Can you tell me where the Superhuman's dorms are? I'm a bit lost and sonar doesn't really work when you're somewhere new. It takes a bit to remember one's surrounds..." she sighed to stop herself from babbling.

  30. Characters in this post:
Noah turned his gaze onto a girl that was approaching him. She was human with long white hair and solid light blue eyes. Noah could notice that something was done to them. Mystic eyes? No, he would have been able to sense any magical power coming from the student. It must have been genetic tampering. The teacher grimaced at the idea of human modification on children. It was a disgusting act that could be compared to magical taboos such as necromancy or blood magic. He wanted to ask how the girl got her eyes but she had already began talking.

"The Superhuman dorms? Sonar? I see..."

Things began to click together in his mind. Her eye movements told him that she wasn't looking at him, or anything really. The girl was blind. She was relying on a sonar ability that replaced her eyesight. Sadly, Sonar only worked if you had a good idea of where you were at. She probably could only 'see' faint waves around her from the wind and voices of other students. Noah wasn't a very helpful person but letting a girl crawl around with no help was a bit cruel, even for his standards.

"I guess I can take you there. They aren't very far. What's your name?"

Noah only taught on Wednesdays so he figured he might as well get a head start on helping the students. He was about to offer his hand to the girl but restrained himself. Offering his hand to a blind girl just felt like insulting her. Hopefully he could find the dorms quickly. Dealing with others wasn't exactly his strong suit.
