Overview

Introduction

The academy houses students from the age of sixteen (16) to the age of twenty-two (22). Most students enroll when they are sixteen, but a very few rare cases join later. Those who are with the academy from beginning to end, tend to be better off. In the past, the one student that did join later ended up using her magic for evil.

Needless to say, there are four main houses - alchemy, magic, shapeshifting, and superhuman. Each house is headed by one teacher. However, seeing as teachers don't have access to the student wing, a senior student is appointed as "in command." These students are hand selected by the teachers and often interact the most with said teacher.

Alchemists are those students who can transform something common into something different. They are typically human, but they are, sometimes, of another race. There are a few elemental alchemists and even a couple angel (or demon) alchemists. These breeds are much rarer though. Anyways, their mascot, the swan, is based off the symbol for arsenic. Student uniforms always include the color orange, as it is their house color. The teacher that supervises this group is Mary Post and her student helper is Aiden Z. DeKay.

Magicians are separated into to groups - those that can cast magic and those that create illusions. Magicians that cast magic are formally known as witches and wizards. Both use a wand to practice their unnatural skills. Students in this house wear the color purple and have a rabbit as their mascot. Their teacher is Ryota Shiro Nukimura and he appointed ______ as his student helper.

Shapeshifters are made up of several different types. Students can either completely transform or do a partial transformation. Shifters tend to have many different names (metamorph, skin-walker, mimic, and therianthrope), but at Occultia any student in this house is known as a shapeshifter (it's less offensive). The student's mascot is a wolf and their house color is silver. Jaden Nicastro, the teacher, and ______, the student, watch over these students.

Superhuman students are improved students. Such students tend to have unnatural abilities like the ability to fly. Most often, this house is looked upon as a "house of superheroes." Sometimes a student's powers will closely relate to the powers of another house (such as shapeshifting), however, there are specific classifications which separate the two. This house is headed by Ace Hawkins. When he can't be on duty, Afon Tupolev watches over the students. Teal is the house color and the mascot is a frog.
