    Snap!
"Damn it!" Damien mumbled under his breath.
He was hunting, and had been watching a doe for about 2 minutes, waiting to pounce. He was hiding behind a small bush, looking just over the top. It was around 4 p.m., and he had started to get hungry; his eyes the color of fire from the hunger.
He had taken a step forward to get into a better position to attack when he stepped on a twig. The deer heard it and imediately lifted its head. After about five seconds, it ran off.

"Well, there goes my meal." Damien said to himself as he stood up. "I guess I need to go find something else."

  2. Characters in this post:
A pair of bright green eyes looked around at the surrounding forest. For some reason, Josephine felt right at home here, maybe because she herself, had always loved the outdoors. But not under these circumstances. She sighed and hid her face within her surrounding black hair that bounced perfectly against her lower back each time she took a step. She looked like a ghost compared to her surrounding. Her skin was creamy white. Almost as if she'd been dipped into milk. Back home, when she still called it that, every single boy there was lusting after her. And all the girls were envious. Though, Josephine hated the attention that her beauty brought. She hated been looked at as eye candy for creepy perverts. She sighed and shook off that memory as she kept on walking.

It was rather chilly out to her, and all she had to keep her warm was her rather thin black dress, that unfortunately for her, showed off her lovely curves.
Lovely curves, she thought. That's what the boys said to her. Lovely curves. Ugh. She looked around at the forest, taking in all the little details as she hugged herself to try and get a little bit warmer. She wished at moments like these that she had someone to share them with. Someone who meant something to her. And thought of her as a person and not a piece of ass.

A girl could hope, but hoping only goes so far. Just then her stomach growled. She had not eaten a descent mean for over a week now. And the food she did catch was when she was in her owl form. And that food consisted of rats, mice, frogs, etc. Which at times, even disgusted her. But at least she wasn't going starving. She looked down at her feet and continued to get lost deep within her thoughts, not really paying attention to her surroundings anymore.

Damien walked off from his old hiding spot. He was walking very quietly, trying to see if he could hear any prey. He stopped for a moment and sniffed the air. There was a sweet smell, though he couldn't quite tell what it was. It made him think of a girl that he had met two years ago. Jessica. She was the only person who acctually thought of him as something besides a monster and a street-rat. He missed her long, wavy, brown hair and her bright green eyes. He cared for her deeply, but before he could even tell her how he felt, he was forced to leave town once more. It was a never-ending cycle.

He shook off the thought and pulled his hood up a little. It was a bit cold outside, but he didn't mind. He liked it when it was colder, rather than warmer. He couldn't stand the heat. It was like falling into a fire for him. Burning him right through his whole body.

Suddenly, he heard a noise. The scent was stronger, but he couldn't see anything. Hoping it was a deer, he hid behind a tree, listening in the direction he had heard the noise from before.
Please be food, he thought. He was getting very hungry now. He waited in silence for another noise.

Josephine finally snapped out of her little trance and looked up to see a big tree that she was about to crash into. She forced herself to a halt, and then walked around the tree. She sighed of relief that she got out of that little mishap before she crashed.

Unfortunately, she was not so lucky the second time around. She had been so relieved that she hadn't crashed into the tree that she forgot about the other things that she could have ran into, just then she found herself tripping over a root sticking out of the ground. Her arms quickly went out in front of her and she crash landed onto the ground. If any body were near, they definitely would have herd the loud thud that her fall gave off.

"oh great.." Josephine pushed the hair out of her face that was now knotted from the fall and sat up, brushing off the leaves and dirt that had gotten attached to her dress. She went to go brush off her legs and winced a little. Am I bleeding? She thought to herself. And of course, she managed to cut herself on something that was not even sharp. Stupid stupid..

She got up and looked around. Well this was just great. not only was she lost, but now she was wounded and couldn't cover it with anything, which meant that it would get infected if she didn't do something about it soon. She sighed heavily and asked if her day could get any worse. but she was not hoping for the challenge. Please someone find me..I don't know what I'm doing.. her arms wrapped around herself again. She was used to being alone, but sometimes it all was too much for her.

  5. Characters in this post:
There is definately something there! Damien thought. Then he heard some more noises and...something else. Talking. There was a person there! Wow...a person! I can't believe it. He was still cautious though. He was actually afraid, if only a little. He slowly crept around the tree. He looked around a bit. There she was. A girl, probably about his age. She had the blackest hair he had ever seen. She was wearing a thin dress, and seemed cold. He stopped walking around the tree and just stood there. looking at her with slight confusion as to what she was doing here.

  6. Characters in this post:
The wound on her let was much deeper than she had though. She found that out when she stood up, it hurt really bad and a lot of blood was coming out. No no! She looked around for a moment, trying to see if she could cover it with anything. She then looked down at her dress..

She limped over to a tree that looked like it had a few vines in it. She reached up her dress and pulled out a small knife and cut two long strips of the vine down. She then ripped along the bottom of her dress, making it seem like she was wearing a skimply outfit.

She knelt own and folded the piece of dress, putting it on the wound. she then began to wrap and tie the fines around her leg to keep the piece of her dress in place. She then looked around again. Just now, she thought she had sensed someone. She could smell the change in the air.

She cautiously looked around and then continued forward, carefully watching where she stepped.

  7. Characters in this post:
She was hurt. That much was quite obvious for many reasons. First, she was limping, and she also tore here dress to cover it. He could smell the blood from her wound, long before he could see it. It was sweet smelling, almost intoxicating. It went away a bit when she covered it, but not much. He pulled a grey bandana out of his hoodie pocket and held it over his nose, afraid he would lose control of himself. Keep calm. You don't want to hurt her. You don't want to hurt her. he repeated in his mind. He pulled his shiny pocket knife out of his back pocket. Just in case. He slowly walked towards her, only one step about every ten seconds. He tried to breath through his mouth as much as he could, but it was hard because he was trying to stay quiet. He stopped about twenty feet behind her. He was hoping she would both see him, and not at the same time, which was a strange feeling. He was very confused about her. He could usually sense a bit of what kind of person somebody was, especially if he smelled their blood. This was much different though. The blood didn't help, like it usually did, but instead made him more confused. He pulled the bandana down and stuffed it back in his pocket as quietly as he could. He hid his small knife in his hand, and just stood there.

  8. Characters in this post:
It might have been nothing, but Josephine had the strangest feeling that she was being followed and watched. She cranked her head around, her black hair covering the majority of her face. Her eyes widened in shock at the sight of a boy, around her age. What was someone like him doing out in a place like this? He looked scary..Are you afraid? She shook her head a little and thought back to herself Of course I'm afraid! Someone found you..don't be afraid..She shook her head again Shut Up!

She turned fully around, with her arms still hugging tightly around herself. God, she must have looked like she just got out of the loony bin. Her hair was a wreck, and her dress was all dirty..not to mention that the boy in front of her was rather handsome looking. A small blush started to rise on her cheeks and she just sort of awkwardly stared at the boy.

She noticed that he had blue eyes. How pretty..Josephine always loved looking into people's eyes. They told so many stories..She shook her head, snapping back into the situation that she was in. She finally decided to speak up.
    "U-um..hello..?"

  9. Characters in this post:
Monika could not stand it anymore. She was never a sporty chick. Using her brain was plain easier than using her limbs. Her body was exhausted after three days of walking and shouting for help.

"Arschloch... Where am I?!" she raged with a powerless roar, using the very last bit of her strength to kick a stone. After that fierce kick, she fell on the rough ground. Fatigued.

The stone she kicked hit something hard, giving a clear, solid noise. The girl wiped the sweats on her face with her hand and looked up. A house. There were almost tears of joy in her dark teal eyes when she saw more short buildings behind the one in front of her."Gott sei Dank (thank God)!!"

  10. Characters in this post:
Damien continued to look at the girl, nervous his eyes were still red. He had forgotten about his hunger so he assumed they were back to his normal blue. As she turned around, he saw her face. Oh wow. he thought. She's beautiful. He felt dumb.He didn't seem to be able to do anything but just stand there and look at her. He was totally toungue-tied.

Finally, the girl spoke. Her voice seemed sweet, but very cautious, and a bit weary.
"Hello." was all he could get out. He moved from looking at her face to her leg, where she was hurt. He tried as hard as he could to not lick his lips. He looked back up at her face. "Who are you?" he asked, just barely above a whisper, somewhat afraid of the answer.

He looked around her slightly. He was pretty sure she was alone, and he didn't sense anyone else, but he could never be too sure. He looked back at the girl and saw she was hugging herself.
She's cold. he thought. Even just thought of her being cold made him feel chilled. He shivered. Then he waited for an answer.

  11. Characters in this post:
It has been about a year since Hiroshi has been living on his own and away from the incident with his family and with the people dressed in all black. Even to this day, the memories of what he had done to his mother and father still haunt him. Placing a single hand over his forehead to see if he could push the thoughts aside even for a moment, Hiroshi did his best to concentrate on where he was walking as well as the area to make sure no animal decided to use him as a snack. The sounds of the animals walking around and calling out to each other were much stronger then they normally would've been before he was changed into this more cat-like form. Both the strange cat-like ears on his head kept twitching lightly from being fully aware of everything around him.

Removing the hand from his forehead, he slowly reached back to hold onto the sheath of his katana to make sure that it was still there. This was not only a weapon for Hiroshi to protect himself, but it was as well a reminder to him to allow him to remember his mother and father. Even if the memories are painful due to him killing them, it was still better then losing sight of them in his own mind. The chances to see him use his actual family sword was rare to no chance at all, he didn't want his father's spirit to see him as weak to be using a weapon at all times to protect himself. Instead, he tends to use his martial arts to fend off himself since that was what his father had taught him.

Sighing quietly to himself, Hiroshi wrapped himself up a bit more into his kimono. It was indeed cold in these parts of the forest strangely. Usually the weather didn't bother him one bit, so it was kind of strange to him why this cold was starting to get to him. Soon enough, he came to a large tree as he folded the bottom of his kimono as though it were a dress even though it was just so it wouldn't get dirty and ended up sitting down on the side of the tree. Resting the back of his head against the tree, Hiroshi began to wonder if there were any other people out there like him. If not, his thoughts on when he first ran away from his home would be proven to be correct. He could never be able to face civilization ever again.

  12. Characters in this post:
Monika flipped her long hair, faking a sweet smile and knocked on one of the doors. "Guten Tag! Anybody here?" one, two, three, four... Almost twenty seconds had gone, yet there was no sound or action at all. The whole street - if you don't classify it as the ruin of a road - was clear. No people and no working machine at all. It was entirely a silent town.

Suddenly her stomach protested with a disgraceful groan. Since she ate all the food she had prepared for the school trip, she had not eaten anything else. Monika had not noticed how hungry she was, simply because she paid all her attention to walking and searching for possible rescuers. Now what? she was alone in an abandoned town.

If she was lucky enough, she could find some rotten bread or fruits. Despair.

  13. Characters in this post:
After resting for a bit, Hiroshi soon stood back up to his own feet as he stretched his arms over his head with a small yawn escaping his lips. "Sore ga yoideshou. Jikan ga kidō ni noru tame ni. (Thats better. Time to get going.)" were the only words that came out of his mouth as he began to make his way throughout the forest once again. While he continued to make his way through the forest, Hiroshi had ended up stopping in his tracks for a moment as he turned around to stare back in the direction he had come from. It had been a long journey since he first left his own home where his family now lays dead and their spirits roaming around for all eternity. Trying to shake off the thought of everything that had happened, Hiroshi returned to walk through the forest with his mind wandering aimlessly in his head.

Soon, he had ended up walking toward what looked more like a dirt road that lead to a small town up ahead. His thoughts still wandering, Hiroshi wasn't even thinking about how he was approaching the small town. His mind wasn't exactly responding to his body movements any longer at this point. Although, as he had continued to walk down the path. The one thing that had caught his attention to allow him to notice where he was, was due to him nearly tripping on a rock. Gasping sharply, Hiroshi had quickly looked up and around to see that he was in a small town which looked quite abandoned. "Koko wa doko?(where am I?)" He asked himself, the town had to have someone around; how else were the buildings built. As he began to walk around the small town, it hadn't taken him long to see what looked like a young girl with long straight dark brownish hair in the distance. Seemed she was there in the town looking for someone as well, whether or not she was a friend or foe Hiroshi decided to keep a distance to be safe.

  14. Characters in this post:
    "Scheisse."
The young girl hissed and sat in the dark corner gloomily. She was too tired and as a result she could not remember any spell which could help herself. At the moment she was about to give up, she heard some footsteps not far away from her.

"Somebody... Please help..." she tried to focus but the sunlight, and her fatigue, made her vision blurry. She stretched her shivering arm and attempted to wave at the stranger. "Help... Me..."

    Her sight went black.

  15. Characters in this post:
Josephine kept staring at the boy in front of her. It really had been a long time since she'd herd another person's voice. "I'm.." She wondered for a moment if she should give out her actual name, you never know who might be looking for you..for good and bad reasons. But she figured that he didn't look like the type to actually want to cause someone harm.

With a little cough to clear her throat, she spoke up again, answering the boy's question.
"I'm Josephine...Who are you?" It was only then that the boy before her was staring at her. Not in the same was as other boys did..they're eyes were lustful, his were, well they were almost kind and gentle but at the same time cautious and weary. She shook her head again. She must have looked terrible.

She finally just decided to look at the ground and wait for his response. The cut on her leg hadn't bothered her until now. It was really starting to hurt. And her vision was getting a little blurry too. She needed to sit down soon or she might faint.

  16. Characters in this post:
Staring at the girl from a distance, Hiroshi had noticed how she looked normal enough to be a regular human. His thoughts weren't exactly going to be on approaching and helping her at first since he wasn't sure how she'd treat him. For a couple of minutes, all Hiroshi could really do was stand there and watch the girl sit and relax under the shade. Due to his cat-like ears he was able to hear her faint voice asking for someone to help her. So when she had reached up to him as though she was trying to wave. The first thought that he had gotten in his head was to take off in the other direction since he had thought she was going to call for someone to come and attack him.

However, seeing that she had ended up passing out right where she had sat. He could only tilt his head in confusion on what was going on. Taking a couple of steps forward til he was in front of the girl, he stared at her curiously. He was right after-all, she looked just like a regular person would look like. He had immediately thought of her as a normal human being as he once was. "Hmm, Sore wa koko no mawari ni anzende wa arimasen. (It's not safe around here.)" He spoke with his voice no more then a whisper, taking a look around to see the small houses, it didn't seem like anyone was going to come out to help nor did it even look like this place had any visitors for a while.

No matter how much he kept debating against himself, Hiroshi couldn't help but end up picking up the young girl into his arms and make his way toward the nearest home. The door was closed and his hands were full. Great. Sighing quietly, he disliked being rude but he ended up kicking the door with his foot as hard as he could to open it. Stepping inside, it looked as though someone used to live here after-all. There was a couch, a small bed in a separate room, a stove, and bathroom. Whoever had used to live here seemed to either have forgotten about their stuff if not wanted to really leave in a hurry. No matter the case, he made his way into the separate room as Hiroshi laid the young girl onto the bed before taking a couple of steps back. Pulling his kimono slightly over his head to hide the ears and slipping his tail into the kimono itself to hide himself. He returned into the kitchen to get a wet rag of cold water to place upon her head. The reason to why she had passed out was unknown to him, so he simply thought it must've been a heat stroke.

  17. Characters in this post:
When her sight was dark and blank, she felt something warm and strong holding her. She barely heard some exotic words, though she could not understand any of them. The figure took the unconscious witch to an indoor environment. She tried to struggle but her limbs just would not move a bit.

A soft and cool object was gently placed on Monika's head, waking her from the darkness. Slowly she opened her eyes. A dim view of a wooden ceiling appeared out of the blur. Rubbing her eyes with one of her hands, she sat up and found herself on a dirty bed. Looking at the stains and dust on the sheet, she could tell that it had not been slept on for at least a decade or two. Monika flipped her long hair to her back and moved her legs to the edge of the bed. As she tried to stand up, she sensed somebody staring at her. Sensitively and alertly she scanned the timeworn room, there she spotted a male wrapping himself in a decent kimono.

"Who are you?" her purplish lips squeezed out three powerless words. The young male was taller than her and he did not share the same condition of being famished. Only hopeless fools would try to confront anyone in this circumstance. The witch hated how pathetic she sounded at the moment.

  18. Characters in this post:
Right after Hiroshi had placed the wet rag onto the young girl's head. All he could really do at the moment was stand there and watch her lay unconscious for a bit. Unaware about how long she was going to be out for, he made his way back into the kitchen room as he stepped up to the nearest window before looking outside to the seemingly empty town. This was strange indeed, there had to have been people living here in this town once before. How else would these houses have been built, they couldn't simply have been here all this time as though they were waiting for people to come and live in them. There had to be a reason to why the people who used to live in this town decided to leave so suddenly.

Shrugging off the thought for the moment, Hiroshi returned to the unconscious female in the other room. This time however, it had seemed that she had awaken from her slumber and was now looking right back at him. Tilting his head curiously at hearing her speak English, Hiroshi nearly cursed at himself mentally due to him not being too well with English in the first place. "Uhhh..My name Hiroshi." With his own words coming out of his mouth, he had placed a single hand right against the middle of his chest as he had bowed his head slightly to show respect. "You..uhh okay?" He continued to do his best to speak English, hoping that the female would understand what he was saying even due to his poor English. The entire time he spoke in the language he was never really used to, his tail had straighten against his own back stiff while his own ears staying flatten down against his head in fear that they would be revealed causing yet another human to attack him.

  19. Characters in this post:
The Asian young man did not look aggressive but Monika refused to let her guard down. Dozens of possibly useful spells swirled messily in her head. If the male made any suspicious move, Monika would immediately take action, igoring the fact that she was as weak as a sick kitten at the moment. However all Hiroshi did was bashfully mumbling his own name and asking if she was alright only. Allowing herself to loosen her fists, she learnt that his name was Hiroshi. The male was not so confident in using English, and he was probably not too good in the language. He had got a really special accent too. Most likely to be a Japanese, the young witch eyed his blue kimono.

"I'm fine, danke," her slightly German-accented voice once again shivered in the air. She did not know Japanese, so she stuck with communicating in English even though the male was not used to it. "A... Arigato," she tried one of the few Japanese words she knew, but her pronunciation was not good at all.

She noticed something moving beneath the cloth on his head. Curiously she stared at the top of his head and was surprised to see the furry tip of one of his ears. Her eyes widened out of interest. "What's that?" the ill-mannered witch pointed.

  20. Characters in this post:
The entire time Hiroshi stood in front of the now conscious female, he had made sure to keep an eye on her hands to make sure she wasn't planning to grab anything to try and harm him. Seeing that she had made two fists with her hands already had given him the warning that she was ready to attack at any moment in time. However, by the time he had answered the young girl's question as well as asking his own he had noticed how she had loosened up her hands to see that the fists she had made were no longer there. Sighing mentally with a bit of relief Hiroshi was glad that no violence was needed to be gone through. Once already in the past with his own family was one too many.

When the young female girl had answered his question on whether or not she was okay or not. Hearing her speak another word that he did not understand whatsoever at least let him know that she was indeed alright. "What..uhh..you name?" Unaware if the girl had understand Japanese let alone speak it at all, when Hiroshi had heard her speak the word thank you in Japanese but it hadn't come out completely correctly. It pretty much gave away the obvious fact that she didn't understand his language too well either. "You...uhh..welcome." Just thinking to himself how he had sounded trying to speak English made him feel uncomfortable since had already known he wasn't exactly doing the best job in the world with his words.

Soon enough seeing as how the young girl had pointed toward a piece of his cat-like ears popping out of the side of his kimono. Along with her asking what it was, Hiroshi's eyes widened up in shock as he tried his best to pull the kimono slightly over the fluffy part that was sticking out to possibility hide it. Making sure to keep his tail straight and hidden as well the best he could. "I..It uhh..n-nothing..hair." He used his best excuse that he could come up with as it being his hair due to his own cat-like ears were nearly the same color as his actual hair itself. Whether or not the girl would believe it or not, was all based on luck at this point pretty much.

  21. Characters in this post:
"Monika," when her name was asked, she threw her name out recklessly. Since she was sent to the big city and started to be treated as a freak, she had learnt to care less about how others thought about her. She viewed her name as something trifling. She believed even if a foe knew her name, no harm could really be done on her. Some may say she was too heedless, but she only considered herself carefree and fearless.

Apparently she was not satisfied with the answer she got. The furry thing was not normal human hair of course. She took her thinly framed glasses off and clean it with her skirt, then put them back on. Her eyes narrowed in distrust when the male became tensed up. "You are Hiroshi huh?" her voice was impotent yet cold, showing her suspicion. But since she was the weaker one, she did not dare to manifest any hostility.

"I'm no ordinary girl," she tried to maintained her balance while her legs were still shivering, "So don't ever try to... Mock me." Dizziness seized her ability to hold on. She knelt down helplessly, cracking her joints against the rough, soiled floor.

    "Scheisse..."
an indistinct German word escaped from her lips. The usually proud girl had to admit one thing - she needed help. Deplorably she looked up and seeked help from Hiroshi.

  22. Characters in this post:
Listening to Monika speak her name, Hiroshi stayed silent for a moment as he spoke her name within his head over and over again to see if he could try to get the name out perfectly rather then end up messing up. 'M...Mon..Monkia..?' He continued to think to himself, only to finally be able to say it correctly as he sighed quietly to himself with relief once again. Having his Japanese accent and the fact that he was born in Japan made it extremely difficult to speak any type of English even the names correctly.

When the young girl had taken off her glasses to wipe them on her skirt only to put them right back on and stare at Hiroshi with the thought of distrust. A quiet mental gulp escaped his lips, as she had stared at him only to ask that his name was Hiroshi. "Y-yes?" Nodding nervously as he had taken a step or two backwards away from Monika, his thoughts were hoping that she hadn't figured out the truth that he actually was lying about that being his hair. Seeing her stand up to her feet, only to have her legs wobbling a bit and having her speak that she wasn't an ordinary girl. Hiroshi stopped in his tracks as he stared at her curiously on what she meant by that. If he wasn't ordinary what was she? Seeing how she had to kneel to the ground, Hiroshi was easily able to tell that was due to her not regaining her energy completely just yet. "Y-you...lay down." He explained, trying his best not to get too near the girl in thoughts that she'd see the truth behind what was under his kimono.

When Monika had looked up toward Hiroshi while on the floor as though she were asking for help. He made sure to keep one hand onto his kimono so that it wouldn't fall off his body if he tried to help her. Leaning forward, he reached a single hand to the girl; knowing being this close he would be in danger of having the kimono removed. Although he had decided to give his trust for the moment to her as he had tried to help her stand to her feet.

  23. Characters in this post:
Monika sighed in relieve when Hiroshi offered his hand. He did not look like a harmful lad. "So Hiroshi, do you have any food?" she asked when she got up. She was starving and some groaning noise came out from her empty stomach. After she knew the male had none, disappointment immediately showed on her pale face. So it's still hopeless.

They could actually go outside and see if there was any raw food, like fruits and wild vegetables, but the witch was too tired to move her body. She was like a marionette without string. Hiroshi was her only hope to survive. Again she shot him a begging gaze.

"Let's go to the forest," she spoke at a slow pace, making sure the lad could understand.

  24. Characters in this post:
Even if Hiroshi wasn't able to understand much of the English language, he was able to understand just enough when Monika had spoken up about food. He was sure enough that she had to have been hungry if she was speaking about it. Patting at the sides of his clothing, he began to look around his body to see if he had anything that she could eat. Sighing with a bit of disappointment on finding nothing that he had carried with him, he shook his head in reply toward her question. The day Hiroshi had ran away from his own home, he hadn't thought about carrying any food with him since he couldn't stand the smell of his parent's blood all over his hands and around the entire house while he would try to get food. The smell was completely unbearable, especially even more so that he had the instincts and abilities of an animal by this point.

Being told the next suggestion would be to go out into the forest to look for food, he gave a light nod with a smile of his own spreading across his lips. "Yes. we go?" He stated, however right before he could even take a single step away from Monika noticing the strange begging like stare she gave him was a bit confusing to him at first. It hadn't taken him long to realize that if she had just fallen onto her knee just a moment ago, she probably wouldn't have the energy to walk. "I carry you?" Hiroshi suggested as he scratched the side of his head curiously on whether or not she would agree to such an action.

  25. Characters in this post:
"Man, I am sooooo hungry!" Tay practically shouted out to the world. well would be world..If there was anybody even here! He walked along the outside of a few abandoned looking buildings. He had been gone for almost 2 weeks hand had been eating whatever he could find. All he had left in his bag was a small half eaten bag of chips, and a very big chocolate bar sticking halfway out of his pocket. He had intended on only eating when he absolutely couldn't contain his hunger anymore. "Argg...just one bite!"

The hot headed 13 year old boy snatched the chocolate bar from his pocket and angrily bit into it. He chewed slowly, savoring how great the chocolate and caramel tasted inside of his mouth. He continued to eat the chocolate bar while walking alongside the buildings, completely oblivious to the fact that there were other people near by.

Josephine. What a pretty name. Damien thought. A pretty name for a pretty girl. Stop that! Stay focused. He shook his head, trying to get rid of the thought. Uh... Damien. My name's Damien. He was having trouble thinking. The smell of Josephine's blood was strong in his nose. He was getting hungry again. He licked his lips unconsciously. Umm.. So- so what are you doing here? I-in the forest? Damien asked. Stupid! Of course she knew you were talking about the forest! How could you be so dumb! He always hated when he argued with himself, but he couldn't help it sometimes.

He continued to look at the girl, Josephine. She seemed hungry, and a bit unfocused. She was probably tired from stumbling through the forest. It was pretty hard to navigate if you didn't know the forest like he did.

"Damien?" She tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear and looked up at him again. "Oh um, I'm sort of lost.." She rubbed the back of her head a little and gave a small awkward laugh. There was something very odd about this boy..He wasn't like her but she knew he was..different.

When she realized this she stood up at little more, she would shift into her owl form if this encountment ended up in a fight. Although she hoped that i didn't, she wasn't too sure about how well her transformation would work since she was wounded.
"D-do you live around here? Do you know where this is?" She kept her eyes focused on his, her vision getting a little fuzzy.

Yes. I-I do. He had no idea why he answered so quickly. He knew he shouldn't have answered her question but for some strange reason, he felt like he could trust her. It was an odd feeling since he usually never trusted anyone really, let alone someone he had just met. Oh well, he thought, she couldn't hurt you anyway.

He then thought of her leg and looked down at it.
You're hurt. he said. He knew it was obvious, but he didn't really care. He just wanted to make sure she wasn't too badly hurt.

"Yeah..I kind of tripped a fell a little back there.." She scolded herself a little. What an embarrassing thing to tell a stranger. It also had seemed that her Irish accent was becoming more clear, which made her face even more red. She hated most everything about herself.

So he did live around here. That's odd, she didn't see any houses of buildings near by..She shrugged a little to herself, then suddenly felt a sharp pain on her leg where the wound was.
"Emm..you wouldn't happen to have a needle and thread would you? I think its a little deep.." She smiled kindly up at him, blushing again at how tall he was compared to herself.

Panting, the giant of a man sprinted through the trees. The Unconscious girl in his arms didn't way much but he had been running for hours. Stupid humans. Stupid normals. If it wasn't for them being so cruel and heartless he wouldn't be in this mess. At least his situation wasn't as bad as the poo thing in his arms. She was already starting to heat up again and he had only dunked her in that pond about two miles back. Whatever was wrong with her was really wrong, and if she didn't wake up soon -or if he didn't find another creek soon- he'd be in a world of hurt. Reese was too nice to just leave her behind. So he kept running.

Muscles screaming, lungs crying out for air, arms feeling like they are on fire... Shirt actually starting to smoke a bit. "Damn it..." he spat out as he finally slowed down. He looked around desperate for help. The arrow in his shoulderblade was throbbing finally, he couldn't ignore it forever. No one had ever suspected him before, not until he started helping the girl.

Gently shaking her he dropped to a knee. "come on girl wake up! I can't do this much longer..." she didn't stir, her long golden hair just fell over her bruised face as her body continued to grow hotter.

Reese's eyebrow twitched and he let out an inhuman growl that scattered the birds in the trees above him. "Is there anyone out here?" he was desperate. He didn't know what to do anymore. He could barely touch the girl let alone help her.
