    xD Yeah, I didn't know they had a search engine until recently - but it made finding things much easier!

    xD Oh goodness. xD That is funny. "Wait - what did I see???" And, you're welcome! I've always loved the game and I thought it would be a good one to have in rotation with the ones currently Featured.

    Yeah - once there are several announcements for Featured games, I'll probably archive them somewhere. xD

    I try to keep who I'm Following under 100. >_> I have 88 right now. <_<; But a day's worth of posting is at least an hour's worth of scrolling through my Dashboard, and often up to two or even three hours if someone decided to get to "chatting" with their friends or something big rolled in. xD So two days is up to six hours or so worth of time. I need to take breaks. >_>; I also maintain two themed tumblrs, so I go through all my content to see if anyone uploaded something to put in my blogs. xD

    Yeah, I never looked to Flickr before for that sort of thing, but the Creative Commons search engine (http://search.creativecommons.org/) most often turns up results that I'm looking for in Flickr rather than other sites. xD And I didn't want to go through the hassle of working something out with someone. >_> Or paying when I don't really have the money for it. ._.;

    I'll have to check that out on Tumblr. :3 I generally don't log into Tumblr until I've "done everything" I need to do. (Which sometimes leads to me taking a day or two off of Tumblr. D: And can take me hours and hours to catch up.)

    Mmm I'd call them "stock photos" but they're not quite. xD They're photos I find under Creative Commons license on flickr that allow commercial use of the works. Sometimes I use several and merge them into one. Whatever image(s) I use go under the template. xD

    For the horse, it depends on the terrain, doesn't it? I googled "how fast do horses travel" and found this link: http://www.ehow.com/facts_5122724_av...ravel-day.html I hadn't thought that the physical fitness of the actual horse might have something to do with it. xD But I'd lower the distance depending on how much the rider is trying to push the horse, since the harder the horse is pushed, the quicker they'll reach their limit. ::ramble::

    But making a map is a good idea. xD I've done it before. xD

    And, yes, I've gotten into projects over my head before. xD There's nothing wrong with switching to a different one if you're serious about the project and want to wait to have some practice under your belt before continuing with it. :B IMHO at least. >_> But if you keep abandoning projects to work on something else, then you'll probably want to force yourself to work on at least one of the ones you've started. xD Even if you know in the end you're going to have to scrap it and start over one day. You could always treat it as a "dry run" that got you used to the setting and characters.

    Yeah, covermaking sucks. >_<; I think I might be a little better at it if I knew my way around Photoshop to use it in that professional sense, but yeah, I suck. <_<; That's why I just picked a sort of cover style I liked that I could make into a template and used that. :B

    Anyone who tells you writing is easy either doesn't know what they're talking about or currently has their rose-colored glasses on and is thinking about the times when it's fun and easy only. xD

    I should probably get a Goodreads account. >_> I'm wary of anything that might give me something else to do every day. >_>;

    If you're intending on writing erotica, it probably doesn't hurt to include the scene. xD If you're thinking more of writing a romance, then unless during the sex they have some sort of revelation about their relationship (even if it's not conscious and is reflected only in how they touch each other or think of each other), it's probably just as well to close the door.

    Strumpet? (The name of the book, I mean.) If it's a book based on an erotic fiction writer's blog entries on the subject, that's the one I'm thinking of. xD I haven't read Steven King's On Writing yet, but I hear it's one of the best. xD

    And, of course. <3 ::runs off to eat dinner::

    Ha, same. Once I sort of stabilized I was like, "man I could go for a roleplay I wish there was a site I could go t-.....>_> <_<"
    That's a lovely dream I think, and very do-able! I think that it's a great goal, and making money off of it would be just gravy (though I'm sure you will, you talented girl you.) It's just the process and getting your ideas and dreams out there, it really does sound fantastic. I admire your stick-to-it-ness, I don't know if I have the attention span it would take to write a whole novel on my own. :I
    (And I saw your website, read some snippets- they were some very good short stories/chapters!) That sounds like a good idea though. Nothin' wrong with using what you've already written as a jumping-off point- and a couple of pages is still good! Real genius takes time. (Also I'm quite pleased, yesBLyes, you would be disappointing your to-be readers too if there wasn't just a smidge of boymance in there. Times may change, but yaoi is eternal~)

    Not worse is still good, I'm at least glad you're still hear- I was afraid you would have poofed as well. uwu
    And writing you say? :0 Tell me about it, I'm mui interested! What genre? What sort of writing? What sort of characters? (Boys?!? ) I'm assuming this from peeking at Neko's beauts post, but are you pursuing publishing it?

    Money is made up of hot little coins. xD If you can manage to keep it in your pockets, it'll turn into cold hard cash but it takes awhile. 8D

    I think AllRomance might say something if your cover is terrible. I think the only thing they're concerned with is whether or not it has nudity on it, though. xD (They allow it, they just make you mark it as a mature cover so they can put a placeholder warning image there for general viewing, iirc.) My covers aren't that great, but I did make a template so they'll at least look consistently "eh... it's okay". xD

    Sometimes I have story ideas that are essentially "scenes" unconnected to a main plot. I figure, if I feel like there's something more than just that scene, I can let it set up shop in the back of my head and grow. Otherwise, I just write the scene. xD I sort of got my start writing longer stories by stringing together scenes. "This would logically happen before this scene. That one obviously comes after those two. There's a gap between those that needs filling..." Sometimes I feel like the over-arching plot of a story will evade me until I've had a few scenes down. I reread them and suddenly realize there's a common theme in the scenes (someone is lonely or someone has the mistaken idea that love is X and not recognize love that is Y; etc). So all I do is take that theme set by the characters in those scenes and deepen it and take the characters through the journey to settle whatever the theme/conflict is. (And if I haven't found a common thread or something that seems like it might be interpreted that way, I just write more scenes. >_>; I can always junk a scene that doesn't work for the theme once I've found it. xD; )

    I don't think there's anything wrong with fantasy with erotic scenes, but isn't carried by the erotic scenes. xD I think that often gets classified as "Romantic Fantasy" - ie, it's fantasy with romance elements. Mercedes Lackey writes a lot of those books. Sometimes the sex is quite descriptive, but it's not the focus of the story. xD

    And, no, I don't mind sharing how I work. xD

    I guess the framework for my short stories is like this:
    Establish at least the main character and what their life is like now. Sometimes even what they want from life.
    Introduce and/or establish why the main character likes their love interest/is interested in them.
    One or more scenes of them interacting, without interest being officially acknowledged between them. (The number of scenes varies by character and what the theme/conflict of their relationship is.)
    Mutual interest (in sex, if not love) is established.
    If there's something keeping from consummating that, resolve it at least enough they can have a scene where they're together.
    "Fallout" from that. (Could be purely emotional, with someone doubting the interest is real, or whether or not it's love as well as sex, or the third in a love triangle getting tangled up in the romance.)
    Either resolution of the "fallout" or at least another wooing scene so even though the conflict isn't resolved, a character is willing to continue the relationship as it is.
    More sex? (Generally with conflicted feelings of some sort.)
    Ultimate conclusion!
    Happy sex!
    The end. xD

    I don't exactly write to that like a formula, but it's more or less how I work. The main thing to keep in mind is that every sex scene should have a reason for being there that's not just pure titillation. :B (Something I read in a how to write erotica book which I agreed with since I will skip sex scenes in books if there's nothing there but titillation.) The sex scenes are there (in story purposes) to illustrate some sort of change in the relationship. So far I tend to write three: their first time, conflicted sex or deepening-the-relationship sex, and then happy-ending sex where the relationship has reached the balance the couple ultimately seeks/needs. xD

    And thank you. xD <3 I've read a lot and a lot of writing advice the last few months and have now had "working" experience, so I'm pretty happy to share what I've learned or what I've at least heard.

    Also, sorry - just woke up so I'm probably more rambly and such than usual. xD;

    Uwah, It's such a shame that people seem to have poofed! (I'm sorry particularly because I may have helped catalyze it as far as our rp was concerned. ;e; )
    I'm doing well now, for once at a pretty comfortable position in life- how have you been doing? What has been up with you in my extended absence?
