  1. Characters in this post:
"Thank you Amethyst, another fantastic victory for justice!" The voice of the young police officer echoed through the mind of the young heroine.

"Yeah, no biggy..." She uttered, flying herself up to a rooftop. From that stand point, she could calm down a little, observe the world around, stop acting like a hero and acknowledge how much that crowbar to the solar plexus hurt.

"Daaamn..." She thought, coughing up a bit of blood as she dropped to her knees, looking down as the villain she'd recently rendered comatose was taken into custody. She had to convince herself that it was worth it. Because it had to be. Nobody gets powers without a reason. Responsibility was needed. At least, that's what she kept telling herself in those difficult situations where she took one too many blows.

  2. Characters in this post:
Aurora tried to answer the question boiling in her head. Why? Why did it have to be her? Why does she have to help those who want to see her downfall and take away the best thing in her life? That's what she fought to answer as she took the photo for her hero ID which would let her 'save' lives without police interference. her costume was atrocious. The spandex clung to all her every curves, if she had any, if twelve year olds had any. Honestly Aurora would make sure this costume stayed where it was, on the picture only. A fake smile and a flash ended her torture. And her mom hustled her to the car, clasped her hands together in an endearing motion, swiftly ignored by Aurora as she sunk into the seat and tried to sleep. It was 9:00 at night and she didn't want to be too grumpy for training in the morning.
    Woo more spandex.
She thought with little enthusiasm at the notion of more kids running around fooling with powers.
