The morning would not be seen again for several hours as the last dim aura of dusk succumbed to the dark of night. A young couple sat, warm and secure, in the comfort of the young woman's home. A computer in each of their laps, surfing various places on the web that fit their interests. Neither of the spoke, just enjoy the company of the other instead. The young woman's face grew a bit pensive--a bad habit of her's--as she read over an article she had found, signaling to the other how focused on it she was.

He smiled happy to sit and look on as she read. Eventually he turned back to his laptop and began to search up some more things that he was interested in. Then his M key broke and he began to mess with it making some noise as he did so. Eventually the thing popped back into place.

The noise was enough divert her attention to whatever it was he was doing. With a small roll of her eyes and shake of her head, she sighed. This sort of happen-stance was all too familiar for her from the young man. "Good job" she murmured before returning her focus to her reading.

A smirk gingerly appeared on her own lips as she continued to read. "Just some website stuff...trying to get it all figured out quickly, ya know? The event is coming up pretty soon, so we don't have a whole lot of time..."

"Yeah I know what you mean I have been working on a lot of revisions for the system. I hope to have all the changes we are trying to implement done by the time the LARP roles around." With that said Andrew pressed the power button on his laptop and closed it, "But we should both get some sleep we have been staying up late and should probably get our sleep schedules back on track." He stood and after unplugging his laptop kissed her on the lips before going about packing his things.

Melissa sighed when he closed his laptop, but kissed him back easily. "Alright...don't want you to go though..."She pouted, then closed her own laptop setting it aside to walk Andrew to the door. "Well alright you. You know the drill, text me when you get home, okay? And sleep well! I'll see you tomorrow right? Before work?" ​

"Yeah. It was good to see you as always. Sure I will take you to work love. Bye for now." He gave Meilssa a hug before going down her steps. With a final wave Andrew got in his car and drove off headed back home for the night.

With a sigh, Melissa watched her boyfriend trail down her driveway to his car and drive off into the dark. She turned around, shutting the door behind her and locking it. Her house, despite her mom being asleep upstairs, always felt so much emptier when Andrew left, and the night longer. But there was noting for it for now, so the young woman trudged on over back to her laptop to amuse herself for a little while longer.

It wasn't before long that Melissa's eyes began to droop. Sleep was overtaking her and she conceded. As she went about her usual routine in prepping for bed, most everything was normal. Though, something was not quite right. She didn't seem to notice, nor did she seem to notice that Andrew still hadn't texted her about returning home.
