The Museum. You go almost every year, what a boring trip. Just one bus this year, most of the other students from your small quiet school have either ditched or opted out. But the museum beats classes so you decided to go.

The hum of endless chatter fills your ears. You know all the faces. The kids you've been imprisoned with for years at the blasted school. The bus driver is Mr. Smith. He's pretty cool, puts the radio on to drown on the teachers for you and everyone else. But when the emergency broadcast system alert sounds, the kids quiet down. Mr. Smith goes to turn it up but not before coughing. Blood spurts from his mouth all over his hand, until a bloody mass is coughed up from his lungs and he falls out of the drivers seat and the buss starts to swerve.

A girl screams. The teachers and the bus driver suddenly start convulsing as the teachers too start coughing up bloody masses, a kid up front grabs the wheel so you all don’t crash and die. Others cars on the road are swerving and colliding. There are explosions as engines and gasoline ignite. Something hits the back of the bus and it sends the you and everyone else flying to one side. Glass shatters. Someones screaming. There's more blood.

Whoever is up front at the wheel seems to be the only sane one. Another car slams into the side of the bus and the yellow brick topples onto its side. More windows shatter, seats come off, people scream, one students gets sucked out the hole and crushed under the bus as it skids through a wall and into a building. Everything goes black.

When you finally come to, you're in a Walmart, laying on the cold tile floor. The bus is lying on its side in front of the gaping hole it made through the glass doors. The metal gates had come down over what was left of the doors, and its that kid you’ve never paid attention to that has saved you.

His head was screaming. Glass had cut across his forehead and into his scalp somewhere, the blood was dripping down his face like some scene from a horror film he had never seen. But he ignored it. The pain, he was learning not to feel it. He had been trained to ignore the redness that blurred one of his eyes as the blood dripped into it. He had a mission. He had to save these kids.

He couldn't keep the bus upright on the road, other cars made sure of that. But Pryce made sure it was aimed for one place he was sure could keep them alive... At least for a while. Crashing through the front door, more class shattered in his face but now he was on his side, the cuts on his arms and chest were innumerable with the windshield gone.

Finally the vehicle stopped. It wasn't what he was used to, obviously but he had managed. Looking backwards no one was moving much. He could hear groans and moans from a few survivors, screams on occasion but no one of much use at the moment. His eyes snapped up as he heard the screams coming from the outside. They were what scared him. Scrambling out the hole that was once the windshield Pryce runs to the emergency panel and hit the big red button. The metal gates came screeching down over the hole he had created with the bus keeping them inside and everyone else out. Pryce heard the metallic latches click.

Smearing the blood across his face Pryce crawled back into the bus and grabbed the first kid he saw. He recognized what was left of her, she had been hit with something in the head, half her face was smashed in. He carried her back to the infant and child's section of the store before laying her down respectfully. He repeated the process. Laying down all the survivors in a row by the bus and taking all the deceased, including the teachers back to the only department he could think of being unnecessary. Then he checked all the survivors and made sure none had any life threatening injuries. He didn't really know much about medical care. Done with the task he sat down behind them and leaned back against the bus closing his eyes as he waited for them to wake up and figure out what the hell had happened and how they were all going to survive.

Joey woke up to the smell of gas and the image of a young man in camouflage trying to pick up a moaning girl. He looked rather muscular but had blood running down his face. Joey moaned in pain as he tried to readjust his position so that he could help camo boy in getting the other kids out. He shifted to where he could slowly maneuver his way towards the front of bus and talk to camo boy.

He remembered the bus getting hit from behind and hitting his head on the seat infront of him and then getting hit on the side so that the bus tilted over. He also remember the sound of his best friend getting crushed under the weight of the bus and how everyone screamed as they saw the floor get closer. It appeared to him in slow motion when in real time it was probably 15 seconds.

Pain from his back heated every movement and every breath he took. He progressed towards the front passing his friends, who were bleeding and crying out. Guessing on the pain he assumed that he would definetely need help lifting people to carry them out. He finally got to camo boy and asked, "Who have you gotten out already? Does anyone appear to be already dead?" He then looked at the female who wore an adidas jacket.

The whole thing had happened so fast that Ryuusei was out cold before he even knew what had happened. It all played in his head as he lay unconscious on the ground of Walmart. He had been flung out of the bus when it crashed and somehow he had lived. Eventually his eyes shot open, he was covered in cuts and a few bruises. One of the lucky ones it seemed, he felt a sharp pain in his leg, and saw a shard of glass. He calmly gripped it and closed his eyes, strain show on his face as he tugged on it gently a few times then he let out a single yell of pain as he finally pulled it out.

He slowly stood and looked around and saw the bus and made his way to it, limping a slightly. "Hoi! is everyone alright!?" he called out as he made his way closer.

Ashly's eyes shot open. She was laying on the ground beside the bus. She sat up rather quick, causing her to knock the wind out of herself. She gasped for air as she looked around at her surroundings.

Walmart. Why in the hell was she lying on the floor in a Walmart? She looked down at herself, not a scratch. Everyone else seemed to have a wound or a scrape of some kind but she didn't even have a bruise. All of her pieces of clothing were still intact, thank god. "What the hell...Why the fuck are we here?" She looked around again, seems that only a few people were up at moving. Maybe they could tell her, no scratch that. She didn't want to talk to any of them. They were all Losers.

  6. Characters in this post:
Oh, Goodie, I'm alive. thought Alex as he rolled off the pile of glass and rocks he'd woken up on. With every move, it seemed like dozens of razors slid across his fore arms, parting him with his flesh. He didn't remember what happened; all he did remember was sitting with the other rejects at the back of the bus, secretly listening to his MP3. He was halfway through Nothin' Bad Ever Happens to Me by Oingo Boingo when the world started to flip and spin.

He'd woken up to a sea of agony, his head pounding to the ragged tattoo of his heart. It took him long moments to realize that he was alive, and that he'd left the bus. He lay a few feet away, apparently he'd flown through a window and landed on the sidewalk. As he groggily stood up, he noticed figures moving into a nearby Walmart, picking up bodies and moving them from the scene of the crash. He didn't want to come close, for all he knew they could be looters, but the cuts he'd suffered had really started to bleed, and he needed help. Grinding his teeth against the pain, Alex Johnson staggered towards the group.
