The world has been threatened by an unknown force, causing hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanoes to suddenly happen everywhere. Five people are approached by an unknown entity and given the power to prevent these disasters. Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and Magic, each given to a different person. But there's a twist. Each person is a child, under 14 years old. Yes, the continued existence of the world itself has been trusted to children.
We're doomed, aren't we?
Two others were given similar, but different powers. Two boys with much different abilities are also given very unusual abilities, but from a different source.
Rules
1: Your character may not be over the age of 13. 2: You'll need to ask me for one of the five powers. 3: You start out with a LOT of ability, such as the fire child could literally stop a volcano, the earth child can calm an earthquake, etc, etc. But, you do not start out with much control. As in the water child could accidentally freeze a public pool from a little fright, the air child might make a tornado when mad, or the magic child might bind everything to themselves in a fit of insecurity. 4: Keep it clean, these are children. A bit of cursing, sure, but careful, please! : ) 5: Usual grammar rules, of course. 6: That is all, have fun!
Background
This world is earth, 2037. starting at 2013, people began to enjoy a peaceful time, and also developed cures for most major illnesses, including cancer. This is almost a ideal place for love and peace. And then, all goes down the drain.
The way that powers work, in detail!
Air: You control air currents, including even weather! On your own, you can redirect a rain storm, or make conditions just right for a mega-cell thunderstorm. You could turn a hurricane into a cool breeze, or whip up a tornado from dead air! You can call bolts of lightning from clear sky, or create the most wonderful electromagnetic light-show ever to be seen by man!
Water: The water is your power, and from it you can create the most beautiful ice statues, or the sharpest blade! You can call upon the crushing force of a tsunami, or turn said tsunami into a low tide, if you please! Along with this, you can also control weather, but not on the electrical side. A blizzard or a hailstorm could be brought to a gentle rain if you wanted it to stop!
Earth: From the earth your power is brought, and with it, you can do so very much! You can call up rocks from the earth to float, giving you an easy ride, or even lift up a whole city with time! You could call an earth quake to stable land, or stop one on the edge of the fissure! Healing the land is easy for you, and plants grow to your command all the time!
Fire: The destructive force of fire is yours to control! You can burn even the clouds and melt any metal! You can resist the hottest flames like they were a warm breeze, and explosions are second nature! You can also cool things down, drawing the heat away from anything you might want chilled and warming yourself in the process! Volcanoes rise and fall at your command, no matter where you may be!
Magic: Your power is more complex than the elemental children. You cast bolts of pure magic at your foes, call up old spirits to guide you, and weave mystic enchantments of power into your fellow children. You can bind their powers together, combining them to make them even more powerful. You can teleport, turn invisible, control the shadows, and so many other useful things!
Spirit: You can see and communicate with the spirits of the dead! With all of the disasters around, there's no end of lost spirits, so you'll have alot of people to talk to! You can also damage someone's soul directly, causing rather horrible mental agony. With focus, you can even drag their body into the spirit world itself, making them trapped forever in a crowded void!
