Well, there -was- a tower. Until there was an accident involving a fireball and the fuel room. Now... Not so much of a tower. More like a pile of smoldering embers. Which, of course, means that the student mages have to figure out what to do now. Great.......
You were a student at Chaswh di Arcaniss nearly your whole life, until a student decided to practice his fireball spell in the room where lamp oil was stored. The tower, which once stood tall and proud, now is only ruins. In an icey wasteland, with no towns for miles, you, and the few other survivors, must survive here, somehow.
Rules
1. You do need to be a mage, sorry. You don't have to be a powerful mage, but you do need to be a mage. 2. You also need to have been a student before the fire. 3. This world is set in a medieval time period, which means that there's no electronics. At all. 4. Wackyness is encouraged, such as a fire mage who loves the cold, or a pacifist mage who focuses on destructive magics.
More to be added as needed!
Background
There are caves very near the ruins, but they are rumored to be full of monsters. Mages, while not locked away like in the dragon age universe, aren't trusted much by the general people, due to the simple fact that if sufficiently annoyed, they can, and will, throw fireballs. Which is why there are no towns anywhere near the tower. Creatures such as dragons, unicorns, and fairies are common here.
Magic works in classes. For instance, healing magic has spells that remove poison, and can cure illness, while destruction magic has spells like fireball or lighting, or even magic missile.
Most mages specialize in one area of magic, but they can chose up to three types.
Fairy years are 8.357 human years long, while elven years are 5.807 human years long. Dragon years are about twenty human years long.
Characters
Fairies are usually about three inches tall, with wings of any shape- including bird wings- and sharp little teeth. Elves are generally a bit shorter then humans, and thinner. Vampires do not sparkle. If I catch a sparkling vampire, no amount of ice will save them from my fireballs. Half Dragons have scales, and snake like eyes usually. Nekos... Well, I'm going to assume you know what nekos are in general, but if not, their people with cat ears and tails. Humans are humans. Duh.
