It was strange how it began-- toxic waste poisoning, mishaps during pregnancies, and God knows what else-- but... odd children began to appear. Pale, sickly children who were often marked as mentally ill after mutilating and killing pets and other animals. Bright eyed, energetic children who often went missing, odd creatures springing up where they disappeared. And of course, the wise, curious children who were able to... to make things happen-- things nobody could explain.
Before, people who weredifferent hid away from others, knowing that they would be tortured, ridiculed, and the like. Vampires, witches, wizards, shapeshifters... all were nothing but myths to the "normals".
It wasn't long before a small group of "freaks" decided to try to overthrow the control of the "normals". This started a short, uneven war between the normal humans and the supernatural humans, which ended in much bloodshed and hate.
Now, the "freaks" must separate themselves from the "normals", living in small abandoned cities or in the wild. Some of the normal humans decide to ally themselves with the supernatural humans, living with and befriending them.

- The amount of characters you have doesn't matter unless it somehow becomes a problem

Background
- The city is hidden away from enemy "normals".
- Since some of the "freaks" are sympathizers with the "normals", so newcomers aren't trusted right away.
- The town has been dubbed
Characters
You can be one of the following:
Ally: A "normal" who lives amongst or befriends the supernatural humans. They have no powers.
Vampire: Vampires appear as humans in all aspects except for their thirst for blood. They get this from animals and in severe cases, humans. They tend to be dark and moody. They weaken in bright sunlight, and are most energetic at night.
Shapeshifter: Humans who can transform into animals. They can only change into one kind of animal. The animal you choose must share at least one quality with the character's human form.
Witch/Wizard: These are people who can preform magic. They are not invincible, and must be completely healthy and strong to preform powerful spells. (examples: summoning elements, predicting or seeing into the future, potions, minor mind control...)
