An adventurer wishing to make his mark on Amara no matter the cost.

Description

Name: Roland Reinhardt II
Age: Twenty-Eight
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Species: Human
Height/Build: 6'2"/Muscular
Eye/Hair Color: Blue/Dirty Blonde
Defining Marks: Has a faded tattoo down his right arm depicting a rather symbolic scene of a dragon devouring the earth- it isn't a massive decoration but one that is very easily identified. There is also a rather nasty scar over the bridge of his nose- where it is more than apparent that he has had his nose broken more than once- almost making it aquiline in feature.

Affinity: Rangers

Personality
Strengths: Honest, Sometimes Charming, Loyal
Weaknesses: Lack of Convictions, Wavering Morals, An 'Off and On' Backbone

With Roland- what you see is honestly what you get. His face bleeds honesty and truth in emotions, and he never quavers from it. Not to imply he is stoically benevolent with everything he says and does. Sometimes when he is forced to be a bit abrupt with his emotions and thoughts he'll grumble underneath his breath, fluster, and just walk away. The man has conviction but it is buried underneath layers of youth and lack of practical application. He could have been a great leader with bubbling charisma and good looks but unfortunately his personal growth was stunted by being the dreaded 'middle child'.

Inevitably the makes him the perfect subordinate as he takes orders, gives input, and attempt to keep moods from getting far too heavy.

Equipment / Abilities
EQUIPMENT

Armor: Good ole fashion armor that keeps your bits and bobs from being shot off or otherwise maimed to pieces. Beyond that- there isn't much personalization to it beyond a rather abused cowl that he wears no matter what the situation.
Weapons: Two pistols- which seemed to be personalized down to the meticulous detailing. A steel longsword which is neatly cared for, but has been broken in from years of use.
Other: Roland is religious- and underneath his armor he wears a pendant that is representative of his favored god.

ABILITIES

Gunsmithing: While not an artisan- he has quite a talented hand at knowing the parts of a gun and normally what has jammed or otherwise been destroyed by normal use and even abuse. He would be hard pressed to create a gun on his own, but he can usually tare apart an already formed one and put it back together.
Gunslinging: After years of holding a gun- and using it- one becomes quite proficient in the ability to wield it with a bravado and ease. Roland can use both of his gun in blissful harmony and while he may not be a top notched marksman- he won't miss- many a knee cap fear him.
Swordplay: Somewhat a harder art to refine seeing as most teachers that he had run across in his lifetime were quite 'over' using sword. Either way he managed to have a few teachers in his life time and many a sparring partner. While he is no savant with the sword- he isn't some hack with a shiny piece of metal either.

History
Roland Reinhardt II is the middle child of three sons- and inevitably not viewed as being gifted as the eldest or younger. His father was Roland Reinhardt I- a somewhat famous adventurer and treasure hunter and a more famous gunsmith. Living in that sort of shadow wasn't good for one's self-confidence. But then there was his eldest brother Tavish Reinhardt who at a young age proved him the heir to Roland the First's gunsmithing art- not like Roland the Second didn't sneak in on occasion and watch their 'private' lessons. This followed by the youngest brother Bael who was quite gifted in the arts of magic- Roland the second fell into some odd scenario with his family. So at a young age he was sent off and was taught all that one needs to know about their basic existence upon Maratuk: reading, writing, common literature, geography, math, etc. Yet every night Roland would crawl into bed, grab some book of old and read about the countless adventures that many a person that was not himself had had. Inevitably he even discovered his own father's story- and read the words with a slow and meticulous detailing. People tell him he was aptly named- because out of all the three sons- Roland looked the closest like his father while the other two favored his mother.
Inevitably that lead Roland the Second to embark out on his own.

Assured his family would forbid such actions he just head out in the middle of the night- and that was about ten years ago.

Since then he has heard and read many a message that his parents were still in search of him- assured that he was alive even given the major berth of time. Yet he has nothing to show for his adventuring- except a scarred nose, an odd tattoo, and countless skills he has picked up here and there. He has made somewhat of a paltry name for himself- even if he is still continuously confused for his father.
Roland has heard of the Resistance- but yet cannot find interest or fault in their crusade having been well bred in the Maratuk Empire. He realizes that joining the army would only lead his family back to him quicker than he can blink. So instead he joins another cause on the edge of the world- assured that he will make his mark on this world.

Little did he realize--
