Gender: Female

Nationality: American

Bell is the nickname for the character. She is 5 foot 3 with a lightly muscular build. She has dark red hair that goes down to her shoulders and naturally green eyes, but her eyes changed to red after waking up from the pod. A tattoo of the silhouette of a bird with its wings spread is on her left wrist.

She wears dark colors and whatever is comfortable to her such as worn out jeans and sweats with a nice dark shirt or sweater. During cold times, she wears a leather jacket over a hoodie. She wears combat boots.

Personality

Bell was a free spirit from the start. As a little child, she would always be running off to where ever she wanted. Being a risk-taker and a daredevil, the boundaries of rules do not exist as she only follows her morals and what she desires. Promises are also void to her since she forgets things a lot and does what she wants. This makes her an unreliable person to confide in getting important tasks done. Her beliefs are that life is short and one should live in the moment. Most of the time she is careless and acts on her spontaneous ideas before thinking.

Since she is easy-going , she does not get angry all too often and usually does not take much of anything seriously. She despises people who try to control her which is why she has hated her father most of her life because of his controlling demeanor. It is difficult for her to sit still due to her impatience. Sitting in one place too long makes her fidget. She is energetic and optimistic, but with her audacious attitude, she may come off as rude and inconsiderate to most people. A tendency to blurt out what she thinks whether it is unpleasant or not may not be such a good habit. Dealing or relating to emotions are not her forte which is why she is has a hard time being compassionate towards others. She is also insecure, not about her appearance, but her worth. This will never be admitted though because that would just be--embarrassing.

She is a generous person who does not mind sharing. She does not share for the feeling of being nice, but because she believes if she does not need it, than why not give it to someone else. She will not hesitate to stand up for her friends and likes the company of others. In fact, she hates the feeling of loneliness and rejection.

She likes to hang out with risk-takers and old people with interesting stories. Exciting stories from others of dangerous adventures and situations entertain her. During her free time, she enjoys playing cards with friends, acquaintances, strangers, or even herself. She also finds drawing on fruit and studying and drawing sea monsters amusing. When she is feeling active, she likes to run, drum, or practice her newly gained powers from the end of the world.

History

Bell's home was not rich nor extremely poor, but instead moderately comfortable. Her father raised her most of her life since her mother was in an institution for her mental instability. When Bell was six, her mother had tried to commit suicide due to her schizophrenia driving her mad. Even with the medicine, her mother kept hearing the voices and seeing the non-existent shadows. Her father, who just came home from work, found his wife hanging in the middle of his room. The cry of her mother's name induced Bell to run to the scene. There she saw, her trembling father holding her mother in his arms with tears streaming down his face. Fortunately, her mother had not broken her neck while hanging herself. Her mother was taken to the hospital that night. The doctors decided that it would be best if her mother stayed in an institution until her schizophrenia subdued. Bell and her family would visit the hospital once every three weeks or whenever her mother was better than usual. During the visits, her mother would cry for hours before losing touch with reality and rambling about the creatures from under her bed. Bell still loves her mother even though she thinks her mother is completely crazy.

She has an extremely intellectual brother who her father always compared her to. He was attending college to become a neural surgeon when the giants came. The two siblings were very close with only a four year age difference. Bell would always rant about her problems to her brother because her brother did not judge her or try to tell her what to do. He would simply give her advice. She looks up to her brother and he with the exclusion of old people, is only person who she is slightly obedient towards.

In school, she was always causing trouble by not listening to her teachers and skipping class. Her rebellious acts caused her to get into the bad crowd. Though she did not do the hardcore drugs of her peers, she smoked weed regularly, stole, and vandalized. Her father did not know how to deal with Bell and was overwhelmed by her recklessness. He tried to discipline her through yelling and sometimes physical violence like the usual slap to the face. She probably deserved it though because she did some seriously irresponsibly stupid stuff like crashing a car and stealing which her father had to pay for. Her father finally had enough and sent her to boarding school. She was inevitably suspended from the school. This enraged her father and after hours of shouting with veins popping out the side of his face, her father decided to send her to a camp for troubled kids. Two weeks into being in the program, the world ended.
