Synopsis
Bred and raised by the Israeli Government to put a stop to the super villains that would seek to destroy it
Description
Aviva is a 34 year old Israeli soldier. She has frizzy, dark brown hair that she keeps her hair pulled back off her face for efficiency. A large, hooked nose dominates her face. It is set above her thin lips and pointed chin. Her dark brown eyes are narrow, set below thick, but groomed eyebrows. Being a soldier, her body is in prime condition- muscular and lithe. While obviously female, she isn't overly voluptuous or feminine in appearance.
Being a soldier for the Israeli Government, Esh generally wears her military uniform with a full helmet complete with blast shield when 'in costume' on the field of battle. Having just transferred to the Heroes' League, she does not have another costume yet. The blast helmet conceals her identity, but the uniform makes her stand out among the group.

Personality
Esh is a soldier type through and through. She is loyal to the government and determined to follow the orders she is given. She can be rigid once she has made up her mind to do something and this may make her seem to come off as cold and stubborn. She is also fairly naive about what life is like outside of the military and government program that raised her. She has a very controlled personality, as if she deliberates everything before making a decision or acting. It is as if she is repressing herself and her emotions- however, it is simply her nature. When it comes down to it, she will follow orders.
Aviva has a deep love for food- she is especially fond of dried fruit and nuts. She almost always has homemade power bars on her person- usually made from dried dates, cherries and various nuts. When she is anxious, bored, or just hungry, she can be seen munching on one of these bars. She also loves to cook when off duty. Her other hobbies include scrap booking and polishing her weapons.
Equipment / Abilities
Esh can create and control fire. However, she must be able to see the thing she wishes to light ablaze. Generally, she creates pillars of white hot flame, but she can also create small, pin point fires that are akin to bullets. While not the strongest pyrokinetic out there, she is one of the most controlled. She has great accuracy and precision with her skill, using finesse instead of brute force- something other pyrokinetics are not known for.
While pyrokinesis is her main power, she has the lesser power of psychometery. She can gain impressions off of objects that she touches with her bare skin. This only tends to work off of objects that had strong emotions or value attached to them. The older the object, the better the impression she can get off them.
She also has standard Israeli military training and education. She can use firearms, small blades and is trained in Krav Maga- the Israeli form of hand to hand combat. (Yes, she can kill you with her bare hands if she has to or wants to.) She generally carried two knifes and a sidearm on her person. She is fluent in Hebrew and English. She can speak Arabic fluently, but can only read the basics.
History
Aviva is the daughter of Herman Cohen and Ester Levin. Herman and Ester were part of an Israeli government program designed to breed powers into children. Herman is a powerful pyrokinetic and Ester is a skilled telepath. The purpose of the program was to try to breed stronger powers into the children by interbreeding two people with powers, then doing slight genetic manipulation on the fetus while
in utero. Herman and Ester were two of the strongest subjects who volunteered for the program and were chosen to breed together. Together they bred four children- the second of which was Aviva.
Of all their children, Aviva is not the strongest, but she is the only one who received both of their powers- though she has both of them to a lesser extent that either of her parents. She makes up for the weakness in her power by having excellent control over both of them. She was trained from the time she could walk to use her powers to the best of her ability. She worked with a group of other children- one of which was her younger brother Levi. Her group; known as Group Gamma-9 (there were 12 Gamma Groups all together); was made up of 8 children, all from the breeding program. Her code name within the Israeli government is Esh.They were educated and trained together to defend the government from the super villainy and terrorism that sought to destroy it. The group was deployed on several missions together, using their combined skills to bring down terrorist cells and villains.
Aviva was raised in the program and doesn't really know anything outside of it. The only member of her family that she even knows is her brother. Generally the subject are kept apart from their family so they remain focused, however, the two were so similar in age that they wound up in the same group- Levi being only 11 months younger than Aviva. Levi, like their mother was a telepath, he also had the ability to intuit the future. Levi was killed on one of their missions along with three others from their group. This left only four in Group Gamma-9 and they were disbanded.
Upon disbandment, Aviva was placed into the breeding program were she bore two children- both of whom were placed into the Delta Groups. Between and after her pregnancies, she was deployed with other Gamma groups as a consultant or extra man power.
Now in her mid-30's she is still at the top of her game. The Israeli representative in the UN used the Charter to get one of the soldier from their program onto the team using their political leverage on the vote for approving the charter. Of all the soldiers in the program, Esh was chosen. She had already bred two children into the program and her Group was disbanded, leaving her as one of the few 'free' agents in their program.
Extra
Aviva has two living siblings, one of which she has never met. They are both deployed into other 'Gamma' groups. She met one of her siblings on a mission. The two did not get along well.
She also has two children who are currently training in the Delta groups. One of her children would be 8, the other 6. She keeps an eye on her children, getting progress reports from the government on their growth and abilities. Her children, Ari and Zev, inherited some of her power and some of her chosen partner's powers- giving them control over fire and water.
The Israeli breeding program has been going on since the formation of Israel. Her parents were part of the Beta group and her grandparents the Alpha group.
