Synopsis
A skilled pyromage who had to flee because of trouble in her home town
Description
Elaine is a 25 years old woman with gray eyes and short red hair. She's not very tall, about 5' 5" and has a lean body type, not very muscular and weights about 115 lb. She has two scares after burn marks on her right wrist from a spell accident. She also has a Phoenix tattooed on her left shoulder.
She often dresses in black robes and black leather boots. She have a bandanna, which keeps her hair out of her eyes, with runes and other arcane symbols.
Personality
Elaine is a kindred soul but she got a temper so be careful not to piss her off. In her 23 years she has seen many sides of the human soul and she's therefore careful in trusting people. If children or women is in danger she often runs to their rescue, something that has got her in trouble a few times.

Elaine likes leather and men who are strong and can protect her. She does not like cowards and would prefer a glory death that a life in slavery. She's a city girl but she got a good sense of location and can find her way (after a few attempts).
She also like scandalous stories, gossip and rude jokes. She hates caverns and dark places as well.
Equipment / Abilities
Elaine is a pyromage, meaning her spells are fire based. She's focused on offensive spells and doesn't have many defensive spells. For defense she uses her very spiky staff and push back powers.
She has a big mana pool but not much physical strength. Higher spells requires concentration and if her focus is broken her spells fails. Extensive use of her power drains her of energy and makes her slow and her spells weaker.
Without her staff she can only do a extremely limited amount of basic spells.
Besides her staff she carries a pouch, with different crafting or magic components, a dagger with a sliver handle, etched with her family weapon (but she don't know that yet) and her spell book, which she has protected with spells.
History
Elaine is an orphan and spent her childhood living in a orphanage. She never got to know her parents and nobody has ever been around to tell her about them. The only link she got to her family is a dagger she has kept since she became orphaned.
As she became older, signs became to show about her power. One day a master mage by the name of Zalak came by the orphanage. In some way he had been able to find Elaine. Master Zalak took her under his wings and taught her what he could about the arcane arts. By the age of 18 her master passed after some time of sickness. It was time for her to try her wings.
Under the course of the next 7 years she traveled around a lot. She has worked at circuses, under kings, on the battlefield or just trying to live a life in the slums. It has given her a lot of experience about people.
