The Shade

A flowing tattered cloak hangs in the air. The glow from all nearby lights seems to fade slightly, almost as if the dark is hungry for it. The cloak is black with a stained teal trim, but most of it has become darker with dust, dirt, and blood. Beneath the hovering cloak is a figure. It must be a figure, as the cloak is not flat. But the figure doesn't fill it out well, with hanging places at all the wrong spots, the entire body hidden inside, and the few places the cloak touches the body are very bony.

The only thing under the cloak you can see, are the two pale yellow eyes...

The Shade variably is neutral, an anti-hero, or a villain. His main motivation is fear. He feeds off it. Be his tactics taking down villains, to scaring children at night on a school ride, he will do anything to get it. He does like a fighting spirit though, and sometimes he may consider putting the fear in more violently.

His only fear is not existing. If he is being defeated he will call upon all his power to summon undead creatures and try and flee in the confusion. But he doesn't believe this would happen.

Expert necromancy, magic of abjuration, conjuration, and illusion, constant flying, and discorporealizing.

Also he has extremely long claws hidden inside his coat.

His body is fragile, so he fights cagily, but other parts make up for it.

Despite how his magic makes it sometimes seem, he cannot talk. The only sounds he can make are a dry rasp or a hoarse cough.

As one last bit, when discorporealized, the Shade cannot be harmed by most means. Some means of holy energy or fire may work. How ever, he cannot interact in anyway with anything until he becomes corporeal once again.
