Synopsis
The young choir teacher may be a bit naive but she knows her stuff.

Description

Age: 25 though she looks younger
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 145 lbs
Hair: Long, brown, and not entirely tame. She generally keeps it shoved back behind a headband or pulled up in a messy ponytail...often with her classroom pointer stuck behind her ear or being used to hold her hair up in a frizzy bun.
Eyes: Brown with silver framed glasses that make them look larger than they are.
Clothing: Conservative for her age. Long skirts, sensible shoes, etcetera. Her one fashion luxury is colorful silk blouses and she has quite a collection of them.

Personality
The daughter of an Italian opera singer, Aria learned to sing before she could walk, and music has permeated her life ever since. Recently graduated from college, this is her first teaching position. She loves music and wants to pass that love on to others so she is incredibly excited about teaching her first class. At only five foot one, Aria may not be taller than some of her students but what she lacks in height she makes up for in energy. Aria is always moving, usually singing to herself, and generally pleasant to be around...but I wouldn't recommend acting up in her class. Italians are known for their tempers.

History
As mentioned above, her mother was an Italian opera singer who fell in love with an American business man and gave up her career to marry him. Shortly after they were wed, Aria came along and her mother stayed home to raise her. Aria had a sheltered childhood full of music and love. School was never her favorite thing but she loved chorus and choir classes and managed well enough in other subjects. She wanted to be a professional singer but never had the nerve to pursue such a difficult and fickle career, so she ended up turning towards teaching instead. She started off directing the community singing group and eventually moved on to giving voice lessons. Through those activities she found she had a talent for teaching others how to best harness their vocal potential and her career path was set. Aria is content with her choice but secretly she still sometimes wonders what might have been if she'd only had a little more guts.
