Nicolas Du'Prix

Nicco is the eldest child and so has a natural protective nature particularly when it comes to his sisters. He is soft spoken, but friendly and intelligent, with a love of all things strange and unusual. His favorite food is chicken noodle soup because he claims it warms the soul and his least favorite is mushrooms because he thinks they are slimy. He reads any kind of book he can get his hands on, but is hard on them, often dog-earing them or even marking the margins with little notes. He loves rain and has been known to take long walks in the autumn rain, reading books or collecting colorful leaves. He believes that rain and sunshine have their own unique scents and loves them both equally. He wants to believe in things outside the normal world, but has never seen the proof he so deeply desires.

Occupation(s): Works in a book store/ coffee house full time, and goes to school part time (not for any real degree, he takes mostly fluff classes like mythology in history and other classes for the love of knowledge).

Nicco grew up in an average family, in an average town, in America. He is the eldest child and has two younger sisters (one who is 5 years younger and one who is 11 years younger.) He loves them both dearly and loves his parents as well. He got decent to high grades in school, missing out on higher scores mostly because he was too busy day dreaming to complete all of his assigned tasks and home work. He attended college from eighteen to twenty one with no real goals. Some how he manged to acquire first an Associates, then a Bachelors degree from the nearest community college, then moved away from home at the urging of his parents.

He now lives in a small loft apartment in a city some twenty minutes from his home town. He has picked up a job well below his schooling, but enjoys it for the discounts on books and the flexible hours. He continues to attend the local community college, but has no aim to move on to higher degrees, instead simply taking enjoyable classes for the simple purpose of learning. He volunteers at a local children's hospital twice a month, leading the kids on scavenger hunts or telling them the continuing stories of Pierre the adventurous mouse. He lives a clean life, having never been interested in alcohol or other mind altering substances. On the surface, Nicco has lived a wonderful, if slightly boring and average, life.

Beneath the picturesque life, how ever, lives a boy who wants nothing more than to believe in magic. Be it vampires, were wolves, or talking mice, Nicco knows none of these exist but wishes any of them could. He is well grounded in reality, but wishes to the very core of his substance that there could be more to this world. of course, one should be careful what they wish for...
