Synopsis
Some sort of mechanized golem of unknown origin and unknown intent.
Description
The golem appears to be of non-human origin, its basic anatomy being familiar to human standards, but at the same time possessing details that indicate its model may have been some previously unknown creature; a pronounced hunch, a noticeable dorsal plate, an elongated face with the suggestion of many pairs of eyes, wide, flat lower arms, and claw-like digits. The golem itself stands higher than a genetically average human would, climbing somewhere between eight or nine feet, with its wider torso giving the illusion of being larger. Some connecting parts of the golem appear to be similar to organic tissue, with the carapace resembling a dull-shining gray metal. Small holes glow yellow, its 'eyes' and a small design on its shoulder sharing this quality.
Its movements appear to be slow and calculated, but its long limbs suggest the ability to move at more impressive speeds. Coupled with its face, the golem's locomotive skills share semblence with avian species.
There appears to be little hints as to what brings life to the golem; a source of energy must exist, for the golem does not eat.
Personality
The movements of the entity seem to suggest calculated thought. If it does perhaps posess sentience, it could be described as observant, turning its head this way and that so as to analize its surroundings, though this is a quality a pre-programmed machine could easily also posess. Its watchfulness coupled with its leering avian movement give the impression that, if the thing did in fact fit into an ecosystem, it would perhaps be an apex predator. It appears to be capable of learning, perhaps the origin of its inquisitive nature. It posesses the ability to make metallic vocalizations, but whether these sounds are meant to be words of an unknown language or have no more meaning than a grunt cannot be told, as the frequency of their happening are small. Its name originates from the written adaptation of the noises it usually makes when contacting someone for the first time.
It appears to understand basic human gestures, but makes little to no attempt to replicate them.
Equipment / Abilities
The creature appears to be able to defend itself, able to dispatch small and medium-sized threats with relative easy. In addition to this, any harm it sustains in battle typically appears superficial, suggesting a thick hide. No blood or equivalent appears in the presence of greater wounds, and it appears to feel no pain, or simply does not respond to pain. It posesses the ability to bellow very deeply as well as with great volume, though this appears to give it no advantage besides being heard across long distances, whether the bellow be a warning or an announcement. There is no sleeping to be had by the thing, though it appears to require short periods in which its body is at rest every few hours or so, during which minor injuries seem to heal rather quickly, but larger ones remain relatively unchanged unless the rests are longer.
The ability to lift great objects and hurl them at good distances is with this golem. It appears to be rather dense in structure, for the creature can only jump a few inches off the ground. It makes up for this downfall by having a long reach, enabling it to climb with ease in spite of its weight. If such a thing were to fall on a human from above, the results would be disasterous for the human.
With its slender digits it is able to manipulate objects much as a human would, though seems to lack use for this skill other than for throwing. It appears not to know how to handle human-made objects, or simply posesses no will to use them.
History
Where the golem came from and whether it is the make of magic or technology or something else remains a mystery. It usually is discovered in more reclusive places, where it is quick to follow humans. Whether its intentions be good or ill is something that remains to be seen, if it posesses any intentions at all.
