Description
Bel is around 5'6 at 16, with pale pink hair and light brown eyes. At first glance, you would think his hair might be a wig, or dyed. But it's natural. He's pale, and looks almost ghostly at times. By looking at him, you might think he is seriously lacking in vitamin D, and you'd be right. He is by no means fit, but not exactly out of shape either. He's fairly average, and as some might say, rather cuddly. The boy is used to people staring at him, and doesn't think too highly of himself due to it. With his appearance, he's not exactly one to blend into a crowd very easily.
Personality
Bel hates himself, and doesn't understand how others like him, when they do. He finds that his name, meaning "worthless", is a very fitting name for himself. He is very quiet, and very self conscious about everything he does. He often gets teased whenever he does talk, and hears things such as, "Wow, he's not mute!" or "So he can talk, amazing." which he doesn't enjoy too much. So he tends to keep to himself. He loves animals of all kinds, and they all seem to like him. Cats especially love him, and often follow him around as he walks. It's not unusual to see him walking around with a stray or two next to him. He's a very caring guy, and doesn't at all enjoy seeing others get hurt, no matter what they might have done to him. He doesn't open up to many people, but when he does, he thinks they ought to know how special they are, and likes to show them. He'll buy them little gifts, or hug them, even the occasional kiss on the cheek if they're a lady. Most of the time he can be found reading or blogging online, while listening to some of his favorite music.
Equipment / Abilities
As far as Bel knows, he doesn't have any abilities or strengths of any sort. He doesn't really have any special powers, nor is he good at fighting. But, he can somehow communicate with animals. He feels what they feel, they feel what he feels. The animals understand him, and he understands the animals. It doesn't matter what kind of animal it is, from a huge bear to a tiny little spider, he can interact with any of them. If he feels fear, the animal will try to stop whatever it is causing that fear. If he feels happy, the animal will also be happy. If he feels sadness, then the animal will try to comfort him. He reacts the same when an animal is feeling any of that. He doesn't really consider that a power, as much as empathy. That's as far as his abilities go.
History
Belial has lived alone with his mother in a small apartment his whole life. He was very attached to his mother when he was little, and still is what some may call a "mama's boy". They were never very wealthy, and his mother worked a lot due to his father disappearing at a young age. He was never sure about what happened to him until he turned 16, when his mother finally told him he walked out on them. He got even closer to his mother after that.
At school, he was often picked on and bullied for various things. His hair, his skin, his lack of a fatherly figure, his lack of wealth. You name it, he was picked on for it. He still often gets teased for different things, but not as much as he did when he was a small child. He normally did fairly well in school, and never really had troubles academically.
His childhood and life have been fairly normal besides those few things.
