A tad too emotional for his own good, Devin likes to believe he is without a heart and therefore incapable of finding friends. He also seeks advice from his mother and tends to hid his true emotions when around others. He is often seen as a knight.

When he does speak, he usually plays the role of the Devil's Advocate. He's also very protective of other people and will often seek out a less dangerous path.
[Interactions with His Digimon] He treats BlackGabumon with the utmost respect. He never gets out of line with his partner and often seeks advice from his furry companion. He will also go out of his way to defend any offensive commends shot at his Digimon.
[Crest] Friendship[Crest Meaning] Friendship, though he is unsure why this is his crest. Growing up without family, friends, or even a loved one, Devin believes that the Digimon made a foolish choice entrusting him with the Crest of Friendship.
[Crest Power] At first, he is unable to digivolve Strabimon to the next level, but when his teammates fall into harms way, he throws his life on the line to protect them. Devin's crest is activated when he is protecting his friends and those he loves.

[Events That Molded Me]
The loss of his family has severely affected Devin. He doesn't know how it happened, either. He recalls what his parents were like (as he had them up until he was nearly five). Near his fifth birthday, he was separated from them. Ever since the split, Devin has poured countless hours into finding them. Though he fears they were killed, as he recalls a gun being fired and his mother yelling to him to "run and save yourself, mommy will protect you," he refuses to believe that they left him all alone on this planet.
Devin was very close to his mother and its obvious. He talks about her often and is always looking to her for advice. He even keeps a journal that he likes to think of as letters, as they are all addressed to his mother.
[Encountering the Digimon] It all happened in the streets of New York City. There he was trying to warm his body with the heat from a small flame (you know, those trash can fires) when this giant beast came out of nowhere. Thrashing about, Devin ended up trapped in an alleyway and the monster was heading right towards him. Immobilized with fear, he prayed that God would have mercy on his soul. Then, as if someone knew he needed help, a dog-like creature came to his rescue. Although, it wasn't much of a rescue, as Devin was still being pursued by Ebidramon. Even with speed on her side, BlackGarurumon was unable to keep up with the monster, as she was avoiding more human casualties. Being in a heavy populated area, the large wolf-like creature had to take his time walking into the fight.
In his fleeing attempt, Devin ended up mis-stepping, which caused him to fall onto his chest. Down for the count, the male was able to muster up the courage to stand, but only to have a pair of claws strike out at him. It was then that a great force was dropped on his back, causing Devin to become one with the pavement. When he finally came to, he saw that a girl was hovering over his body like she was trying to shield him from harm. Unsure what was happening, Devin took off running. Even though he wanted to thank the female, he knew the creature was after him and he wasn't to cause her no harm. So luring the creature away, he ended up repaying his debt.
When he finally made it to Central Park, he thought he had mastered the creature as it was nowhere in sight. Then, as if it knew Devin's guard was down, the Digital Monster moved in for the final attack. In a semi- failed attempt to save Devin, BlackGarurumon tossed the male into the air. Though it saved Devin's life, the action had left a scar on the male's body. To live, he had to sacrifice his left eye, as there was no other way BlackGarurumon could protect the male. With his eye damaged, the boy fell conscious. He knew, when he awoke, that his once perfect face would forever be ruined.
[How It Affected My Life]
After the attack on not only his life, but also his eye, Devin was left pretty disabled. Unable to use his left eye at all (or even the left side of his face), the male had to reteach himself everything. His smile was now crocked and cocked to the right. His right eye would have to become all-knowing and learn how to see things better than before. His left brain was also shaken up pretty good and it required him to relearn the English language. A hefty doctor bill should have laid in his wake, but, because of his status, the hospital did it free of charge.
The scar that is completely visible on face often turns people away. They wonder how such a man could earn such scars. People feared him because of it. The eye patch over his left eye didn't help either. In fact, it caused him more suffering and pain as no one wanted to associate themselves with a half-blinded man. This sense of loneliness pushed Devin over the edge. Losing his softer side, he turned over a new leaf and joined the criminal life. Though, he didn't do it out of evil. No, it did it so he could protect the innocent. If someone had to die, he wanted to make sure no one else would fall along with said person.
Noble as it may be, he was still in the wrong to join such a group. To this very day, he regrets his involvement and continues to look for a door out.

[DigiPersonality] Matching Devin, this Digimon is one to not get her nose into trouble. She likes to keep a wary eye on his Digital friends and often pretends she's a Gabumon. She's a curious Digimon that usually brings out the softer side of Devin. She's a bit troublesome and very opinionated and will often confess her thoughts aloud.
[DigiDisaster] She's quick to mimic her partner's emotions. The more upset Devin gets, the more she loses control of herself. However, in when she loses full control, she still watches over Devin. It's almost as if she's willing to wreck havoc in the name of friendship.
