Jade Lawrence

Jade in one word is simply shy. She rarely talks to people and often avoids crowds. The fact that she was sickly as a child doesn't help because it means she didn't spend much time with other children her age. On the other hand Jade is also very kind. She adores children and small animals and despite her shyness she often volunteered at animal shelters. The only problem is that even though she's very kind she has never stood up for anything she believes in because of her shyness. Jade almost always has a soft smile on her face because she's quite content not having any friends. She had always preferred animals, children, and books anyway, even though as a child she wasn't allowed to have a pet. She cries very easily for various reasons whether it be that she's sad, happy, or angry and everything around her has a sentimental value.

Jade grew up in a wealthy family because her father was a doctor and her mother a medical researcher. She is their only succesful birth and all the other attmpts had ending in a miscarriage. However growing up Jade was very sickly and often in the hospital or home sick. One day, when she was ten, Jade came down with a fatal infection that almost killed her until her parents gave her an antibiotic that was still in it's testing stage. Jade was the first success yet again. Or rather she was the first test subject to not have any genetic mutations after using the antibiotic, or so they thought. The next year during class Jade was being bullied by her classmates when she suddenly turned invisible. Her parents tried to accept this and treated her roughly the same but over time the way they spoke of the other test subjects bothered Jade, who is essentially just like them. However Jade never said a word and eventually just ran away feeling betrayed by her parents. Now it's been one year since she left home and she's found herself in New Hampshire where she's heard rumors of a young man who gives haven to those like herself.
