Boj ma'Deu

Boj is a silent but gentle beast of a man. His eyes no longer betray this gentleness, but those who have lived with him know he is likely to feel guilty if he so much as steps on a frog. Boj has an especially soft spot for women and children, and is generally too much of a pushover and a softie to say "no" to most requests for help.

Boj is exceptionally strong and sturdy, and a damn good pilot. He knows the land extremely well and makes his money guiding others through the area and making maps. He has some training in hand-to-hand combat but never seems to use it. He keeps mapmaking and other drawing supplies with him in addition to the usual survival gear. Despite his strength, he is rather clumsy and awkward at times.

Boj has lived in his father's port his entire life, helping on the docks and guiding travelers around. Only a year or two ago he lost his somewhat illegitimate wife (neither of their families would accept the pairing: she was a daughter of a Tyrisian general, he, the son of an ex-slave) to an airship crash. Since then, he has been intent on finding a way to bring her back. His search has led him to the rumors of the Shift Particle, and his knowledge of the land has helped him get closer and closer to finding it deep within the wilderness of Kerria.

If Boj were an animal, he would be a baby sloth.
