Personality

Palimire

Palimire has a fierce loyalty to his people for how few their are now, but he is not one to turn away another fairy or even another creature, although tempted by recent events.  While he may have an honor code, his pride and, although not a problem until now, greed can make him deviate from an honorable action, especially due to his bitterness.  In fact, risking the lives of his fellow-fae is only brought about by his fear of losing his remaining family.  He’s well-weathered in the ways of the world, making him exceedingly self-controlled, cautious and practical, so he would work with other races, if only to a business degree.  Bonds are very important to him and so is one's word.

Bear

For reason of foreignness, he has a noticeable accent, if pleasant for the female fairies, and he is not likely one to turn them away. While mature, he still has a very mischievous side to him and prefers a leader position. He has issues with authority, but he is seen second-guessing himself and has some anger issues.  It is likely that he is a mixed breed of fairies, because of his beard and lack of earth-like attributes.  He harbors manipulative tendencies, but is not geared towards causing anyone harm for the sake of harm or hatred.

Roinoak and Qurway

Roinoak is an introverted and introspective personality, but easily coaxed into things if they seem innocent enough. He seems like one with an old spirit, but one that has endured the centuries as a childish aura.  He is not overly cautious, but hesitant, lacking confidence, even speaking only through his lizard. Overall, he's viewed as being less intellectual and even a little slow, but he shows a quiet patience and common sense attitude.  His little dragon, Qurway, is accused of having more character than him and he is quite protective of Roinoak.

Seedamei

Seedamei is as Seedamei does and what you see is what you get, and he’s quite proud of that. His word is about the only thing that you can’t trust with him, because his mood is his judge. He’s relatively leaned back and can go along with a good game, but he is observant and not a pushover. He has a sharp wit and a big mouth for his size. He a little bit of a lot of a man-slut and, if he wore a bit more, then he would probably claim to have more than his fair share of manhood from such a giant.

Paree and Masqe

Paree and Masqe would rather crack jokes and dance than fight, but life's an adventure.  Both have a poetic and carefree nature, more than what would be preferred for warriors, but they shined on the battlefield, and the off-field cheering up and on their band made them popular and welcomed assets.  Paree is somewhat whiny and wishy-washy about things, but dramatic and overly eager at times.  He is absolutely obsessed with Masqe and she enamoured with him.  Masqe herself is more level-headed and flirty, but very loyal and kind.

Nee

His attitude is typically one to shrug things off, but he pays careful attention to what’s going on around him. He distances himself, while also being somewhat pushy. He is single-minded in a lot of ways and dismissive otherwise, coming off as rude. Not that he doesn't like to play, but he is greatly fond of mocking. He is lazy and unhelpful.  When not pouty, he is rather fun to be around, affectionate, competitive and musical, though he loves to run people in circles and avoid questions.

Clay

Clay is the epitome of fae: a young, endearing, prank-loving scamp.  He would rather enjoy a day of luxury and fun than work, a regular Peter Pan, including his selfishness and lack of discipline.  He is slightly sadistic, even to those that like him.  This is probably because he is still young and even torments the girls he likes.  He is temperamental woos anything with a skirt, including but not limited to a variety of human women, endless fairy maids and an outlying mermaid, though not necessarily successful on all counts.

Iristi

Iristi (nicknamed Aha) is a very enthusiastic fairy, doing whatever with everything she has, if less refined than her mother. She enjoys a good time and looks at everything as if it is an opportunity. Sometimes, this comes off a little hair-brained and flighty, forgetting her duties, but she is quick to reorient or herself. Likewise, she has a short-fuse and can tire herself out for effort. She doesn’t think about the overall picture, but immerses in her little slice of life, not including the war effort. She tends to talk a lot and fails to ask question, much out of pride. She hates her nickname as the joke behind it is that she is the one being laughed at.

Equipment / Abilities

Palimire

He is a master of traps and defense, using his skills in weaving for such.  He is incredibly strong-winged and, culturally trained in hunting, he can break bones at a full dive. Physically, he is very dense and usually would have to walk below the snow or simply fly.  He also has an insignificant tadpole of a dragon that is, while not a fighter, gifted in the art of hypnosis.  Together, they can put a man to sleep for ages.

Bear

His voice is alluring to humans and lovely to fairies, but mediocre compared to other water types. He is an excellent swimmer and fisher, and speaks with birds and wolves, among certain creatures. He can sense water, but not very well. He can also sense the time and day without access to the sky or other devices for such. He really has no background in battles, so he is a greenhorn, but he is certainly an agitator and willing to fight.

Roinoak and Qurway

Their capabilities, respectively, are survival-based and plant-based, very primitive in their lifestyle and knowledge about more modern warring methods.  Roinoak came to be known for his magical strength, tinkering curiosity and keen notice of his environment.  Combined with his companion, he manages to fight better than average for someone with his wing type, relying on Qurway to supplement his flight.  He is able to play the mini-version of a tin whistle and is shockingly good at gambling.

Seedamei

He is surprisingly quick to fight, but can easily enough get over his qualms with another afterwards, so his comradeship tends to be more than the comrades themselves, serving as a glue of sorts. He learned sword-skills quickly, but his wings don’t grant for the quickest or most enduring battle, so he specializing in sneak attacks, though it no less irks his ego.  He is an unlikely candidate and doesn't know when to quit.  One of his favorite pastimes he now employs in battle: fungi and flower concoctions.  He has the unusual ability of enhancing softer sounds, but hardly enough to be a weapon.

Paree and Masqe

Paree is skilled in stealth and sadly wingless, but the most clothed among them.  Neither of them were remarkable fighters, but together they make a contest out of tangoing with each other and enemies. The usual tactic for these two is to get close to the one determined to be the leader and, if that can’t be found, mixing it up a little when the enemy thought it safe to relax.  They make great scouts, but not diligent when there is no joy to be had.  Masqe is a great cook, but Paree makes alcoholic drinks that would take decades in minutes.

Nee

Now that he is part of a war, he tends to carry a blade on his hip with a belt, the only clothing he sports.  He has adjusted himself for speed and agility with his wings, despite the similarity of their shape to others with difficulty flying, by distinctive plates on his wings to match that of birds.  He also has a golden chip that adorns his neck and shields him from elemental attacks and a ring on his wedding finger, a distinctive feature for a fairy.  One of his eyes has a larger pupil than the other due to an injury, but this allows him to see in different lights.  His disguises are genius (if tedious for Palimire), and he has an affinity towards bubbles, glass, and mirrors.

Clay

He is another singer, and no noticeable talents other than juggling and knife-play.  His speed and vigorous tenacity keep him alive, not to mention a little teasing towards opponents to throw them off.  He possesses the slowest progress and it eats at him when compared to Iristi, though this is off-put by his other tendencies.  He is definitely a survivor, if a clumsy one.  His only article of clothing is a hat and, as joked on by his teammates, no where to hang it.

Iristi

She brought along a lot of clothes for the trip, but Palimire instructed her to send it back, sell it or trash it, because they don't have the time to lug the stuff around, so she is working on that.  She is great at scavenging and storage, carrying them upon a jackalope.  She also has a unique knack of petrifying adversaries by coating them in something like quick-dry cement, turning them superficially into statues.  She hunts with more conventional means of a bow and arrows, having great aim and spacial consciousness.  She is also very good with astrology and slightly less good with astronomy.

History

Palimire

Palimire (nicknamed “Pal”), his wife and son are weaver fairies that live in the cold realm of (“Misty Mountain”/misty parts of the mounts in the high peaks--need to know what the owner of the RP would be better for the story). In the past, wealth surrounded them and they found joy in creating marvelous decorative art with the precious pieces, usually for their own people or to sell. However, this made them an obvious target; barbarians smoked out and burnt down many of the hive-like mazes within the frozen ground, digging out tunnels of tiny treasures. His family barely escaped, but forced to restart, which taxes the both of them. She insists that he stay home with her and the child, but he refused to remain and now they are on bad terms.

Bear

Bear is a fairy of the ice-melt that creates the massive and beautiful falls that feed the farmlands about the area, although he doesn’t originate from that area, but rather from colder regions.  He doesn't speak much about it, except the effects of the cold on the land and how dark the world would turn.  While he had been known for scuffles and as a nuisance, leading a lot of the riffraff fairies evacuated from the mountains on their own raids and thieving bands, but was never caught.  Surprisingly, he turned himself in and begged to battle the barbarians to pay recompense for his crimes and gain a place in the society that welcomed his people in.  Among the fairies, this sudden conversion dooms him to death, but, among the other inhabitants, he is rumoured to have ulterior motives.

Roinoak and Qurway

Roinoak is a forest fairy and Qurway a root dragon, but they have little ties to the fairies about them.  Lack of conversation skills or not, neither Roinoak nor Qurway share their pasts a lot and the latter can be defensive with nosy types.  What is known is that as a child, something attacked Roinoak and Qurway rescued the gentle fairy.  Qurway became a mute from the incident and Qurway learned spoken language for his sake.  Despite this lack of fighting spirit and dealings with modern events, Roinoak volunteered to join the Flying Lizards Brigade, maybe at the insistence of Qurway.

Seedamei

He doesn’t care about the past, except as a good laugh or a riveting tale.  There is no history for revenge or moral change of heart.  He wants it; he takes it. That’s what his battle with the barbarians is about, period, and he wants fame, riches, power and females, but not just his own kind.  He looks forward to the riches that he can scrounge up and the songs to be written about him, but what has been divulged is that, even among fairy society, he was kind of a deadbeat and wanderer.

Paree and Masqe

Paree and Masqe came on a whim, and were nearly kicked out for their clear lack of concentration and distraction, something most wanna-be recruits possessed as fairies.  He is a wingless fairy that can slightly control earth and she is a wind fairy.  They used to work at a bar, until that burnt down and are currently waiting for it to be rebuilt.  Someone made the offhanded suggestion to seek a fortune to rebuild the place by fighting the barbarians and they jumped at the joke, taking it seriously or as seriously as they can.  The two almost never came to be as she considered working at an herbal shop, until he convinced her otherwise.

Nee

Nee is another forest fairy, though he and Roinoak don’t know each other, which is a little odd for the mountain raids that cooked off acres of forests. Nee was married to a house fairy of an old commoner couple that stayed on the sunny side of the mountain. A curse, which he attributes to the surge of barbarians, froze them, his wife and newborn daughter in a standstill. Discovering this, he went out to seek the cause and thinks he will find it in helping the military efforts against the barbarians. He was a mapmaker at one time and an avid bookworm when his wife introduced him to those bound papers, but his background is farming and his hobbies inventing.

Clay

He is an orphan and his enrollment in this whole endeavor is a punishment, to either be locked up as a glass ornament or fight the barbarians. The second option seemed more fun and the Flying Lizard Brigade was firmly encouraged to accept him in. One good ass-kicking set him a little straighter, but, not being hardened warriors or professional killers, all of them have a lot to learn and him especially. He runs off every now and again, and members of the squad retrieve him whenever this occurs, scolding him in various ways, including manual labor.  He used to torment travelers.

Iristi

She is a mineral fairy, usually found near water, but it is believed that they usually reside in the sky. She lived in the cities and came to join up with the brigade with hopes of treasure and excitement. Her mother still remains in the city, but they don't correspond through the usual channels.  She is older than she lets on and appears as though she had a soft life before this, so she is written off sometimes by the guys in the group and accused of being someone's jewelry box dancer or a clock fairy. If she would give them more details, then she would be able to avoid the jabs, but, for probably obvious reasons, she doesn't or can't.
