Synopsis
I'm the big bad wolf you should be afraid of.

Description

Dayna Accalia Chekhov
Senior in high school -- Seventeen
Brown hair with blonde highlights; amber eyes
5-7" with a slender and toned body

Dayna has a tall, yet slender and toned form, something that most girls her age would kill for and for her it was literally kill or be killed that led to it.  Her body isn't something she flaunts to show off and attract men, rather, she would love if everyone turned a blind eye towards her.  She has no issue in her body being exposed, leaving her lightly tanned flesh for all to see; decorating that flesh is a series of white scars from growing up and fights as a wolf.  Her left shoulder blade bares a series of puncture wound scars from when a pure blood wolf attacked her, sinking his teeth into her.  Just under her right shoulder blade there's deep scratch scars from one of the paws of that same attack, the other claw mark scars being on her left bicep.  There are various slash scars across her form as well, most notably being the scar across her stomach and another across her thigh.

She usually wears a jacket, though it's not because she doesn't want people to see her scars and judge her, but her father's request to not alarm humans.  To comply, she wears a leather jacket, usually paired with a low swooping neck shirt, a pair of tight jeans and ankle heeled boots.  She accents her outfit with various pieces of jewelry and her nearly waist length hair is styled to match whatever her outfit is that day.  She has her ears pierced three times on each lobe, her left helix pierced twice and her right pierced once more.

Even for living on the run, Dayna does take care of her appearance, wanting to live up to the 'Princess' her mother said she was.

Personality
Personality
Dayna is a bit of a fire cracker, she goes off and doesn't seem to care who gets burned.  She's quick witted with a tongue as sharp as a razor.  She definitely comes off as mean and blunt and quite frankly, that's exactly who she is, though the mean part is more from her blunt behavior as she sees no reason in lying, sugar coating or hiding things.  That's not to say when the woman doesn't know when to keep quiet; she wouldn't have survived the pure bloods with her father for seventeen years if she couldn't hide.

She is a hard nut to crack, surrounded by walls to keep people from getting too close.  She's the type that once focused or set onto a task, she sees it through and it can be difficult to break her from that route.  She's headstrong and stubborn, quickly giving into a fight or even trying to provoke them herself.

The female wolf prefers to keep to herself though, the less people she has contact with, the greater her survival.  With that, it's hard to tell if and when she actually cares about someone.  She looks out for herself and her father, but understands that when push comes to shove, if either them then can get out, they have to save themselves rather than risking both of their deaths to save the other.  She's a survivalist, though not necessarily by choice.

She's not easy to offend, but should someone manage to get under her skin everyone had better look out for her short temper gets the better of her and she lashes out.

Deep down, there is a part of her that is actually quite girly.  The idea of not having to run, hide and fight to live, while it's all she had ever known, is not the life she would live if she had the choice.  She loves cheesy and cliche romance gestures and actions; she's a romantic at heart, believes in chivalry and happy endings.  It's not something safe for a wolf to be tied to, not one that's being hunter but her father never told her to stop but rather said her mother would have been thrilled as she would have wanted her Princess to only have the best and to always be happy.

She's kind and nurturing in her own way, the way her father raised her so it may not always seem so kind or so nurturing.  She doesn't believe in just giving, giving someone or something everything they want, giving them an easy living.  She believes in honing the skills that one needs to survive, to have a thick skin and level head to get through dangerous and tough situations.  She comes off as rough and mean, but her intentions are good, given that she's not actually trying to kill you.  It can be hard to tell if she's doing things to be nice or not; good luck figuring out what her rudeness means.

Likes
  • Freedom; the feel of the wind through your fur.  She enjoys the run, wolf form, embracing what is natural to the werewolves.
  • Night time and the full moon.  When humans go to bed, fearing the full moon now more than ever, that is what Dayna enjoys.
  • Flowers; what?  Just because she could rip your throat out without hesitation, doesn't mean the girl doesn't have a soft side.  She actually has quite the soft side for cliche and cheesy acts of romance.

Dislikes
  • Cats, that's a given though.  Dogs and cats get along about as well as fire and ice.
  • Rules and restriciton; you might as well live in a prison at that point.
  • Purebloods, though you can't blame the girl as she and her father have been hunted by them for as long as she can remember.

Extracurricular Activities
  • Training.
  • Training.
  • More training.  One doesn't get by on life as a mixed blood without being ready for a fight.

Equipment / Abilities
Becoming the Wolf
Dayna is a 'mixed blood', as the werewolves call them; she is a human that was bit and turned into a wolf (regardless to the fact that both her mother and father's sides of the family are wolves).  Her fur is rich browns ranging from dark browns to beige.

Her father doesn't have the lighter hues, but if various shades of darker browns and is noticeably larger than his daughter.

Skills & Talents
Dayna is a survivalist and as such comes brimming to the rim with road smarts.  She's a fighter, skilled in both hand-to-hand combat as well as with non-projectile firing weapons.  Can she fire a gun?  Of course, but her specialty lies in close combat fighting.

She's a skilled hunter and tracker as well as a half decent cook, though don't expect anything 5-star quality.  She's a meat and potatoes sort of person (as long as by potatoes you mean meat) so her meals, while lacking in flourishing presentation are hearty, filling and taste pretty ok.  Her skill with the blade can definitely be seen while prepping and cooking food; she's skinned more than enough animals in her life to make it seem like an art form.

Dayna is also familiar with first aid; she's removed things from bodies, given stiches, cauterized when needed among some of the more extreme things she's had to do.  She also knows what plants can be used for medicines as the actual medicines they could buy were limited.

History
Dayna has a complicated history and even present day life, regardless to the announcement that werewovles do exist.  Her father, Vitaly, is a pureblood wolf from Russia, her late mother was from a bloodline in Nova Scotia, though she herself was not a wolf.  Her mother was a childhood friend of her father, the two having met by accident at a young age when the girl's family had come to Russia from Nova Scotia.  Her father was a doctor that said he had been summoned to help with wounds and illnesses that had been rising.  Vitaly had gone with his brother and father to check on them for the doctor was a wolf and so was their son, but their daughter could not find out.

For years, Vitaly and his brother would go to that house to play with the Braun twins as their father offered the man a helping hand.  The older men were not fools and Mr. Braun was more than aware of the fact that he was being watched by the Russian wolves to ensure that their secret was kept safe.

A few years later, Vitaly's father was called to a new mission and the family went to North America.  It would be there that the young soon-to-be wolf would meet another wolf, Winter, as he would one day call him due to his white pelt.  Winter was a strong, formidible wolf, the two would spar almost constantly, never to kill but for boasting rights as to whom was stronger.  He would also meet her, Mallory, a woman that enchanted the Russian wolf with her crimson locks and kind, yet silly and stubborn personality.

During the time that the Chikhov's were in North America, Vitaly fell in love with the woman and they dated for a while, at least until he would tell her his secret and change in front of her.  She accepted it though and the next day Vitaly received an urgent summons; their family was returning home to Russia.  Fearful that his home pack had learned of what he did, he consulted Winter whom told him that he had to go, leave Mallory and not try to communicate with her for it would put her life in danger.  He said he would do all that he could to protect her and keep her safe.  The two swore to be there for each other should they call.

The call had nothing to do with Mallory or the Chikhov's time in North America and everything to do with the sudden vanishing act of the Braun family.  The family was to notify the pack when they were moving or leaving and it didn't happen, they had been gone for a month before the wolves were sent to find them.  Vitaly was eighteen when he was sent on the hunt for this family.

They searched the lands tirelessly, Vitaly working with his brother.  The family had escaped to Sweden, but then they found them the twins were alone and terrified.  The body of their father was nearby and Aiden, the male twin, was badly wounded.  Mikhail was adamant that they call the pack to notify them of what had happened for Aiden was in wolf form, craddled by his sister as he bled.  Vitaly tried to convince his brother otherwise.  First things first, they had to patch the boy up.  Days later, when Aiden was healing up quickly, Mikhail left to call and let the pack know where they were and it was then that Vitaly ran with the twins, returning to North America.

Vitaly had sought the aid of Winter, whom warned his friend that if he helped him with this, Vitaly would have to come anytime he was called.  The Russian agreed and he and the Braun twins vanished from Russian pack eyes, though he knew Mikhail would look for them.

Many years later, Vitaly and Alia Braun would have a child, a daughter.  They had spent time with Winter and Mallory, whom had their own child, a boy.  The bliss would be short lived as one night, a large Russian wolf would finally find them, killing Alia.  Vitaly fled with his daughter, to keep her safe.  He never contacted Winter knowing that his own wife would be in danger and he would not do that to Mallory.

Dayna and her father would spend years in the northern Canadian wilderness before returning to Russia as the pack was sending more wolves to find them in North America.  The two never lived in one spot for long and never dared to establish anything close to a town for the pack would find them.

As she grew up, her and her father talked a lot about her being a wolf; the risks it brought but the possibilities it had.  When she turned sixteen, her father bit her as the two had agreed that she would either eventually be killed by the pack, be killed by the change, or be able to live as a wolf.

She survived the change, but of course was not only hunted because of her family but also because she was a mixed blood.  Her father trained her her self defense, using silent weapons that were easy to conceal as well as hand-to-hand combat.  He honed her senses as hers were sharper than his (he thanked Alia's bloodline for he didn't think her father was a doctor out of the kindness of his heart, but rather the skills he possessed).

Her and her father lived as wolves for hire, mercenaries of their world and you had to know how to contact them.  The two would never show themselves, only responding to the cryptic messages and code words.  There was an 'underground' of sorts when it came to those hunted by the pack; word would spread among them to send news, all responding to messages left in various areas of the wilderness.

Unbeknownst to her, her father kept in touch with Winter, his childhood friend from North America.  He would update the man on his general location in case he ever had to reach out to him.  Then, one day they found a message; carved into a tree was a small bird, something that most wouldn't notice.  Branches were broken, leaves and other ground coverings moved into various piles and scattered at the same time.  Her father froze as he watched it before telling Dayna that they were going to North America for their next task.

Dayna and her father are the most sought after duo, not only for being wanted by the Russians (though other countries seem to not care), but  they are very efficient with their jobs which has made them desirable both by people needing something taken care of but also for having created many enemies from those that feel were slighted by their tasks.  In the end, Winter holds their leash; he calls, they respond, regardless to what they're doing.  His tasks are the only ones that they don't hand off to other mutts to take care of.
