History
Have you ever had a past that you wish you could just forget? Things you saw you wish to unsee? That's how Inola's past is, at least as a child.
The girl was born to Arian and Gwenleda Ravenswood, a couple irradiated just how in love they were. Inola was their first child and they were so excited; the young couple spoiled the girl. As she got older, her parents would have seemed overbearing, wanting to know everything that was going on with her life; not because they didn't believe the girl could have privacy, but because they wanted to know everything their little girl did, went through and to be there for her. That time though, would never come.
One night, on her 8th birthday, it was storming that day, someone broke into Inola's house. Her parents ushered her into the wet bar; with the door cracked, she saw it all. A massive wolf entered the living room, teeth bared, growling. Her parent's yelled at the creature, trying to talk it down, but to no avail. The creature lunged onto her mother, slaughtering her as her father attacked it but the beast was soon on him, ripping him apart. Tears slid down her face and it took everything she had to not scream, cry or make any noise other than whimpers. Those whimpers though, they were enough. She watched as those feral eyes locked on hers. Just as the wolf started towards her, the front door burst open and the wolf took off.
To this day, Inola couldn't tell who it was that came in and saved her. She hugged the man, clinging to him light he was her only life line. She even stayed with him and his family for a few days as funeral arrangements were made, her Aunt and Uncle taking custody of her.
After that, Inola moved from place to place every so often. Her Uncle was a Marine, on active duty too. There were times where they stayed in one place for a few years, but other times they moved every few months depending on his work. Finally, work called him back to her hometown, a place that Inola had hoped to never see again.
Her Aunt and Uncle try to assure her that things will be good and perhaps she could finish off school and look into a local college. They had wanted to settle down earlier and thought the previous move was their last, but with his time in the services ending soon, he told her that they could stay there as long as she wanted once his service was up.
