Surly, abrasive and downright bigoted, Thalia will nevertheless pull you out of the fire without a moment's hesitation (but not without sharp criticism either). Though she might vehemently argue otherwise, this old battle-axe is highly compassionate and thoughtful of others, willing to put herself in harm's way to help the needy. She's not going to coddle you, but she won't abandon you either.
She will help you, of that there's no doubt, but would you be able to stand being around her for long? That is the real test and, heavens forbid, if you ever manage to win her respect, you'll have gained an intolerant racist, ageist, sexist, misanthropic companion for life. Dare to criticize her in return, she will most likely spit brimstone and hellfire, and her arsenal of insults can be quite extensive. Push her even further, she will introduce you to her rifle or fists. Both have the same lethal effect.
As surprising as it may seem, she also has a strong appreciation for some of the finer things in life. Whether it be poetry, craft, artwork or the sheer experience of looking out on a vast landscape from a high vista, Thalia has an eye and heart for the sublime, but it takes a lot to impress her.
