The Hellhound, or whatever people were calling his kind these days, didn't take kindly to violence. His job was easy when it was older people, or those who deserved it but there were those cases, the cases where he would walk them to heaven or the beyond or their next life (depending on what they believed of course) and he would hear the stories. The child who was only seven whose mother drowned him, or the teenager that had thought that the only options was this one. It saddened him, and he just didn't understand. The soldiers were pretty hard to. He finally though grew tired of it, bored of it. He didn't want to listen to the stories any more. So he had just walked away. He would have to come when called again but for now it seemed that the universe was going to give him a break.

Kynthelig goes by Kyn when with humans, no one seems to be able to pronounce Celtic names any more. He is easy to talk to but can be vicious towards those he truly hates. There are few but there are some. Kyn has always liked the idea of a guardian angel, that was what he wanted now. He wants to be that for a while, even if he eventually has to go back to being the dog of the after life.
