"Androgynous" describes her style. Her sex isn't a secret; she'll tell you if you ask. She doesn't let it define her; she doesn't let it dictate what she can wear, what can like, and who she can be. Her sex is only one part of her; it might not even be an accurate part of her. It's not that she identifies as "male" or "gender-fluid." She doesn't even know what "gender-fluid" really means (though she can hazard a guess). She'll tell you that she's a woman, but she won't let you tell her what being a woman means.

She likes to wear her hair short (she hasn't grown it out since elementary school). She says it saves on the shampoo, which saves her money, which is always a good thing in her books. She has uneven skin tones and, some times, really stubborn acne. She hides it with makeup. She likes "statement" pieces: big watch, big necklace, military boots. She isn't afraid to dress up at a "dress-down" event. She likes her layers because her frame is thin. She likes to wear one size larger than absolutely necessary because nobody needs to see just how small she really is.

WHEN SHE IS HAPPY : She likes to laugh, but, then again, who doesn't, right? She may not be grinning from ear-to-ear (that's not her play), but she is smiling. It's easy to tell when she's feeling good (she makes no attempt to hide it), but it's a lot harder to know when she's genuinely happy and when she's just smiling for someone else's benefit.

WHEN SHE IS SAD : She doesn't wear her heart on her sleeves; her emotions are entirely her own. Her problems are her problems and she'll take care of them by herself. Some people might think she lacks faith in others and those people would be wrong. It's not that she doesn't trust anyone (she has friends, she's well-adjusted), but some times having a strong independent streak gives people the wrong impression.

WHEN SHE IS ANGRY : Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned except not in this case. She is a quiet kind of anger, a proverbial calm before the storm. She isn't someone to start a shouting match and she won't do anything juvenile (egging someone's house? Keying their cars? It's a safe bet to count her out), but she won't mince her words either. Of course, if someone really test her patience, she'll throw the first punch—no hesitation.
