Mrs. Annie Froth, his mother, is also quite the famous lady. She travels from city to city as a medic. People across the land come to her when they need a miracle. She's a highly spiritual woman and has always been one with the heavens. A former priestess turned medic, Annie was actually the one to receive word that the end was near. Rushing home, she informed the other priests who, in the high temple, received word that the heroes of humanity had been chosen. During the moment of visions, Annie felt her womb burn with a numbing sensation. Dropping to her knees, her closed eyes received a vision -- her eldest son, Valberg. The moment she saw it, she raced home to find her son and inform him of his newly discovered duty. Or at least what she believed to be his new found duty.
Froth and his younger brother, Bodvarsson (Bo), were tucked into bed that night when their mother came bursting through the door. Without explanation, she ripped her son from his slumber and dragged him into the streets to spread the word. Froth, wearing only his undergarments, stood in the center of the town and listened to his mother's story. He had always known he was lucky, but this was pushing it. But, if the High Goddess had chosen him, he knew better than rebel. Accepting the duty, his mother shooed him off to prepare for the forthcoming journey. Froth, little to his knowledge, had no idea of the war that was coming for that piece of information was never revealed. Why? His mother didn't want to taint his journey and give him any idea that a battle between the representatives might occur.
Needless to say, prior to any of the madness ensuing, Froth lived a pretty ordinary life. He attenuated grade school and received mastership from a mechanic in West Eon. Upon graduation, he returned home and, since then, has used his learnings to enhance his homeland. With his help, outdated weapons were turned into guns and horse-drawn plows soon became coal-powered vehicles.
At the age of thirty, Froth has yet to find a new partner. He had found one, seven years ago. The two married after courting for two year. A year later his son was born. Complications during childbirth prevented his wife from having another but Froth didn't let that setback keep them from trying. A miracle happened two years later. Expecting another child, although the greatest moment of his life, was also one of tragedy.
Upon going into labor, his mother noticed an off growth on his wife. After further inspection, Annie Froth identified it as a lethal virus that, if allowed to spread, would contaminate the town.
Doing the right thing, Annie put his wife down and also, to her dismay, had to terminate her granddaughter's life too. Froth and his son underwent a million tests to ensure they weren't infected. To his mother's joy, Froth was infection free. But, his son, was not. Not able to kill his son, Froth removed his son from quarantine one night and hid him deep on the forest. One day, he promised to return. Until then, his son was left in the capable hands of a priestess that was his wife's best friend.
Forever scarred from that day, Froth has never spoke of his son nor has he remarried again. Rumor has it that he hasn't been seeing anyone and that he never will. Still a sexual man, Froth hasn't fallen into the roll of avoidance. After all, every now and again a man needs to lose himself and feel the euphoria that once brought him unexplainable bliss.
