Synopsis
Illegitemate daughter of the dead king, seeking the truth at any cost. Is there good in her? Or is she destined to be a slave to the forces of darkness? DUN DUN DUN

Description
Thyra isn't the most beautiful girl in the kingdom, but she has her own charms.  Most of her physical attributes are average in size, at 5'4" tall and 135lbs.  She has an ordinarily structured face for a Scandinavian girl of her lineage and her hair is deep-brown and wavy, usually worn up because of its tendency to look unkempt when up.  What is most striking about her, however, is the color of her eyes and the flames that burn passionately behind them.  One can tell with a single look that she is no ordinary girl, and usually by that time it is too late.  She has an aura that screams to be noticed and often feared by those who can recognize that sort of mystical thing.

Personality
Thyra's personality is very straight-forward and domineering.  She hates people who don't have a purpose in life and she might just get rid of you if she thinks you're annoying or in her way.  She's also the kind of person to get into a confrontation if it means getting closer to her goals and at nothing she'll do whatever it takes to achieving them.  Men of power have abused her her whole life and because of that, she harbors malcontent for many people.  For that reason, it's easy to get on her bad side and approaching her is difficult.  Thyra has always hated the rich and she hopes to take over the throne and reduce all the nobles to nothing, to make them live like she was forced to just because she was conceived illegitimately.

Equipment / Abilities
Though the energy required for magic has always been hard to come by, the woman who raised her taught her great secrets that none other in her little village could have ever dreamed of.  These spells of course are nothing more but quick, defensive elemental incantations that could never do much damage to an opponent, but could certainly save her life when the situation called for it.

Other than magic, Thyra's skill with the dual short-swords is all but legendary.  Her techniques emulate those of the dual Dao blade discipline, which relies heavily on speed and agility.  But her blades are narrow and slow in comparison with those of the Chinese Dao blade masters.  She also has the ability to use throwing knives, but only if absolutely necessary.

History
Thyra was born to a young maid-servant by one of the princes of the castle long ago.  The prince, her father, was always an air-head and a bit arrogant at times.  Like any young man, he thought that he was invincible.  He chased after women and acted irresponsibly.  Thus, Thyra was conceived.  Fearing for his pride and his throne, he ordered that the maid-servant killed.  She was able to evade the killers until her child was born.  She begged the witch of her home village to take care of the child, and the witch agreed, but soon, she could run away no longer and was killed cruelly.

The prince was now the king and he hadn't changed much at all.  He was still arrogant and thought himself to be unbeatable.  But after the great war, he was convinced otherwise, witnessing fist-hand the violence that led to death and tragedy.  The same violence he had used to get his way.  He realized he was wrong and was regretful, but Thyra never knew this.

She was raised by the witch and taught magic spells and how to fight with her hands.  But one of the most important things Thyra was taught was kindness and forgiveness.  She was raised with gentleness and love and was encouraged show nothing else towards others, no matter what crimes they committed against her.  But eventually the witch had no choice but to tell her where she came from and how her mother had died.  Thyra couldn't believe it at first.  Such a story was unfathomable, unthinkable!

She wandered aimlessly through Saareda and sat mournfully in taverns, hooded and cloaked.  Listening to a rather loud conversation from another table, she heard a rumor about an affair that the king had as a younger man and that they believed the child conceived in that affair could still be alive somewhere.  The men combined their information and concluded that the child would be about 25 years old now and that was how old Thyra was at the time!  Angry and confused she left the tavern in a rage and moved on to the next town with a goal in mind: to find out the truth.

Two years have passed and Thyra still doesn't know if the rumors are true, but she is desperately trying to find out.  Her hope is that she isn't the illegitimate child of the king, but if she is, she intends to tell the world that the king is a liar and a killer.  Unbeknownst to her, the king has died and a power struggle is about to begin.
