Colt is loyal to his comrads after the beginning of the pluage. He vowed to protect those he served with. Using his training he quickly hardened himself to the situations around him and when a mission presented itself he becomes cold and calculating. He takes risks at his own expense but not of those around him.

Before the outbreak he was a new recruit in the Washington, D.C. SWAT team. He had entered training with his pet and long time friend, Shashka, a hybrid of wolf and german shepherd. His first mission was a supposed hostage situation. When his team breached the roof the interior was a blood bath, corpses littered the floor. Within minutes the corpses began to move and attacked his team. Being as inexperienced as he was he ran. The rest of his team did not make it out... At least not as they were before.
