Synopsis
A close-minded, natural-born African predator with a taste for hunting.

Description
As a human, Carver is larger in stature, with firm muscles that originate from a lack of hobbies. Being of African descent, his flesh is dark, his features more gorilla-like than any caucasion male. His height hovers around six feet, and considers himself rather short. He has not a hair on his head and dark, black eyes. His movements and expression suggest determination at all times, his gaze that of a hunter's. His hands are rough and calloused, shallow scars decorating his knuckles. He possesses a much deeper constellation of scars around his neck and shoulder. These scars appear to be the teeth puncture wounds from a large predator.

As an animal, Carver takes the form of a leopon, the offspring that results from the mating between a male leopard and a female lioness. As such a creature, his head carries characteristic more familiar to a lion, including a sparce reddish mane, while his body resembles that of a leopard. His animal form is rather large for a leopon, his musculature being more similar to that of a lion than a leopard. His body weight rests somewhere in the vicinity of 220kg, and could easily take down a large man.

"Apparently a leopard really can’t change its spots, even when mated with a lion. The result is halfway between the two in size and has a lion like head and short mane in males but the coat is spotted like a leopard’s. Unlike lions, Leopons love water and despite being much larger, shares its climbing abilities."

Personality

A fellow with little imagination, Carver's job had been his life, that job being a poacher. He enjoys the thrill of the hunt, especially when the game is dangerous. He does not interact with other humans well, as most of his interactions consist of intimidation tactics. His anger is something in need of taming. His mind is very closed, not at all accepting of others' faults or differences. He respects only proven skill and strength, and will challenge anyone he feels is 'talking big'. At the same time, he has an interest in the strange, and considers independent or smart women to fall into this category.

As a leopon, he feels more at home in flat, grassy terrain.

Equipment / Abilities
As a human, Carver has excellent aim and dexterity from his time as a poacher, and considerable strength.

As a leopon, Carver has the ability to swim and climb with ease, as well as stalk and dispatch perceived prey. His roars can carry over vast distances.

History
Carver was born in sub-Saharan Africa, where he remained for most of his life. He grew up in a relatively poor family, but never thought himself to be living in poverty. He grew up with an older and a younger brother, his mother rendered unable to bear children by the birth of the youngest. He rarely attended school, instead opting to learn survival skills with his brother.

Eventually he grew distant with his brothers, and found himself a member of a gang of poachers, who specifically targeted endangered animals. Nearly caught by the authorities, he remained always on the run until he decided to flee the country, moving to a civilized little place in South Africa. There he remained working as cheap taxidermist until he was bribed into entering an 'experimental community'.

Extra

For those having trouble imagining appearances:

Carver would be played by Djimon Honsou. If this were a movie or something, anyways.
