Hobgoblin

The children of the Hedge, these strange creatures come and go as they please.  Though the giants among them barely break a fourth foot of height, they fear no beast or man.  Their visage is as chaotic as their nature, with skins and blood of every shade conceivable.  A safe assumption is that no two could ever be alike.

Merchants, thieves, and tribesmen.  They'll trade anything for anything that they perceive as valuable; a quarter pound of gold dust for a tongue wart, a gallon of heart's blood for an iron ingot.  Some band together, forming deep familial ties, while others strike out in search of adventure and profit.  As a rule, there is no standard hobgoblin.

The traders among them keep the stock of dreams and nightmares while the adventurous are the standard of hardy.  The blood in their veins shares space with the same magics that feed the Hedge itself.
