Synopsis
Hell Knight of the Horseman's Armies

Description

An imposing figure despite standing a few inches shy of six feet, with a broad, muscular torso.  When unmasked his once handsome face is pale, gaunt and hollow looking in undeath, the right side badly disfigured by fire.  His eye sockets are black and empty, the eyes once residing in them replaced by points of eerie red light like others of his kind.

Personality
He is a curious, intelligent and calculating entity with a quick wit, but undeath has stripped him of much of the emotions that once made him human.  Though he's capable of and known for impressive outbursts of rage, he's completely loyal and subservient to the Horseman.

History
Subjects under the Horseman's rule know nothing of Traezander's history before he mysteriously appeared within their ruler's domain.  All anyone knows of the enigmatic Death Knight is limited to his unquenchable thirst for knowledge, his impressive skills as an armed combatant, his remarkable knowledge of arcane magic for a Death Knight, and his inspiring commitment to serving the Horseman.  Before he found himself transported and stranded in this world, Traezander was a human war mage of considerable talent and knowledge who's curiosity lead him down a dark path to demonic corruption and the eventual curse and extra-planar exile he now "lives" with.  During one of his many adventures he stumbled upon a tome of demonic lore in the lair of a lich, and after perusing its contents, found his curiosity and desire for knowledge piqued.  His first attempt at summoning a demon earned him the disfiguring burn on the right side of his face, an injury he quickly avenged himself of upon the demon that had inflicted it.  Through summoning of ever more powerful demons and forcing them to divulge their knowledge to him he came into contact with a succubus, herself looking to gain more power and topple the Demon Lord she served.  Their mutual need for knowledge and power created a partnership that soon drew the attention of the Demon Lord the succubus sought to overthrow.  It turned out this particular demon lord was no mere demon but a demi-god who, fearing the two might indeed together challenge his place upon the throne of his plane of hell, intervened just before the pact that would have joined Traezander and the succubus together was finished.  He attempted to curse Traezander to eternity on the mortal plane, the result being his undeath as a Death Knight, and cast him from his world and into the one he now inhabits.  He was found by the Horseman's men shortly after arriving in this new world, and seeing the potential this newly created Death Knight had, the Horseman gave him a chance to serve.  Having no knowledge of what the Demon Lord had done to the succubus he very nearly loved --if one could call the relationship the two had formed to be love-- and no knowledge of how to return to his own plane of existence, Traezander agreed and has served the Horseman faithfully ever since.
