Serna doesn't like being around others, she's quiet and defensive, doesn't make or have many friends and avoids contact with others. Her love of dancing and animals is apparent in her demeanor as you will catch her picking up and caring for strays more often than not. She tends to make a good target for jerks and creeps. When she goes out she generally doesn't care about her appearance and prefers to blend into the background. She's the kind of person that once you get to know her, you just want to hug her.

She is possessed of Shadow Manipulation. She has only recently discovered this in herself as she seemed to fall through a shadow while wishing she could just disappear and be home, safe and sound. It was a scarring experience and she hasn't actively tried to use her power since.

Growing up in an orphanage gave her a sense of the world being unfair, but refusing to allow that to change her she remained a gentle soul who took nothing for granted. She grew and aged out without much of a problem, found a job and a home and has been making her way through life as quietly as ever. The only thing that changes in her life is her rescuing of strays, though she does keep a few at home.
