Elaine Chiria

Elaine is a twenty year old Raider, 5'3'' tall and has an average build for a soldier, lean framed with dense muscles. Her eyes are grey and usually accompanied with green eye shadow, which Elaine believes to be a lucky colour (a battlefield superstition passed on by her mother). Her hair is naturally black, but she has been dyeing it red ever since the first major dragon attack on Fort Praetorius, to commemorate the memory of a friend lost during the struggle, almost five years ago. Another notable feature is the scar on the right side of her lip, which she got from an accident during training whilst using faulty equipment.

Elaine is coolheaded yet vigilant, especially valuable traits for a Raider, but more than that she is a survivor. Not the strongest, the quickest or even the smartest among her generation, Elaine is nonetheless aware of her own strengths and weaknesses, and knows how to pick her moves carefully. It is perhaps also because of this caution that she is somewhat of a loner, having seen many of her fellows die in action over the two years she has been a full fledged Raider. Though she has come a long way from being a fresh rookie, she is still counted as one by those of the older generation, like her mother and Colonel Lucas Baskevyl. Privately, Elaine hates it, but bears it stoically enough that her frustration never shows.

Has a natural talent for using the Slayer Gear's integrated jet boosters to perform mid-air manoeuvres. Also a decent marksman, but more proficient in the use of the energy shield. Will more likely hold back and wait for opportunities rather than go on the offensive.

Born in Star Fort Praetorius to parents originating from the colonies, Elaine was naturally destined to become a Raider when it became clear that the war wasn't going to end anytime soon. At the age of seven, Elaine's father died heroically whilst defending a colony, which still remains standing to this day. At the age of fifteen, Elaine began her training to become a Raider. During that same year, the first major dragon attack occurred and Elaine lost her closest friend, a boy named Seamus, who was one of the first to die from a hull breach on the 15th level of the Star Fort, near one of the training rooms.

At the age of eighteen, Elaine became a Raider and was deployed to one of the colonies on Cadeca, but it wasn't for another whole month until she was sent out on a mission to hunt down a dragon. She nearly died during her first battle and the dragon got away after wiping out half of the squad, but after several more months and sorties, Elaine encountered the dragon again and managed to kill it herself, avenging her fallen squad mates and initial failure. It was her first dragon kill, though she had already assisted with two others up until that point.

To this day, Elaine has three dragon kills to her credit with over twenty assists.
