Overall: Alik is a wise but cruel man with an untouchable charisma and an ego to match. His intellect, instinct and innate cruelty make him a difficult opponent to face even for the most powerful of heroes and his long-standing career as a villain is proof of this. Despite never hiding behind an actual costume, his personal militia, excellent PR and an aura of practical invincibility make him near untouchable even in broad daylight and he knows it full well. Despite all the resources at his disposal, he actually likes to get his hands dirty and is one of the few villains who has little more motivation for his actions than to instigate carnage and chaos. 



Equipment / Abilities

Costume: A long black trench coat with a wide brim collar, a black tuxedo with matching dress shirt and a red tie, black leather gloves with matching shoes and a golden Rolex watch. He occasionally adds to this a golden mask covering the left side of his face if he feels so inclined.

Powers: 

-Evolutive Paragon: Alike is "the" peek of human evolution. In other words, he is as close to perfection as a human can ever hope to be in every aspect. He is thus a formidable foe both in mind and body and has no non-supernormal flaws to speak of.

-Dark Energy Manipulation: The user can create, control, manipulate, materialize and summon dark energy, usually drawn from inter-dimensional or other similar source. It can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid, gaseous and/or liquid substance that can be shaped/manifested in various ways. Unlike Darkness Manipulation, which draws from a similar source, dark energy focuses on direct, destructive and violently outwards directed aspect of the spectrum.

-Will breaking: In addition to his fantastic physical strength and control over dark energy, a blow from Alik will effectively shatter the will of a normal human being, rendering them little more than a lifeless husk. However, the blow must be direct and it can take a bit more than a single hit to break down the will of a super.

Weaknesses: 

-Meteor: Since Alik is already at the peek of possible evolution, he reacts negatively to the presence of shards of the meteor who are responsible for empowering the population of power city. It begins with minor vertigo, but the longer the exposure the more he is weakened by it.




History
Paragon is one of the oldest villains to have never been captured and the very first super-villain to make himself known to the world. But his history dates much further than that...

Alik Dauragon Nocturne was born on the planet Ixos under the name of Llüviçp-ês (the "i" is silent). The rather violent race which left there sent its newborns across the galaxy in hopes that they would land upon weaker planets and come to conquer them. Unfortunately, the programming of the capsule he was put into was destroyed when it crashed into a meteor and pivoted towards earth. There, Alik became the property of a government experiment. Experiencing no love from or for humans, he quickly escaped when he came of age for his powers to activate and has been a natural born criminal since. Unlike his parents expected, he never gave himself the goal of governing the world, feeling that a world under his rule with no opposition would be a dull and sad place to live in.

Among the many enemies he formed across his career, it was the super-heroine known as Amethyst which caused him the most difficulty. However, in one of their deadly altercations, she perished, crushed under the weight of his monstrous left hand. Following the death of Amethyst, he quickly came to realize that a super-villain with no challenges led a very dull life and he was about to give up his life as a criminal when the meteor landed. Soon thereafter, he came to know that a new hero named Amethyst with powers dangerously approaching those of his rival had been born from the crash. This rekindled his eagerness for chaos and destruction and sent him flying aboard his private jet on a one way flight to Power city.
