Wears heavy gas mask and hood which completely eclipses any form of recognition. Heavy leather traps attach the thick bags he keeps holding several portable crank radios and other essential ingredients necessary to his cause. No one has ever reported his appearance without mask and equipment; though his ardent support of anti-curing and mutant rights might indicate whatever appearance he possesses under his wraps may be severely effected by mutation.

Tesla capitalizes on his quick wit and silver tongue, two features that lend themselves wonderfully to survival in the dog-eat-dog world of the criminal underground; a world he's gleefully chosen to take residence in to achieve his goals. His remarks are scathing, though usually meant in good humor, but his most defining feature is his wide-reaching and in-depth knowledge. Does not go out in the surface world often, prefers to stay within his network of below-ground "radio trenches". Not even close friends are sure how, or if, he eats.

Accepts any sort of mutant as an ally, but is highly suspicious of all humans claiming to be on his side.

Any mutant powers, should he have any, are not widely discussed even amongst close acquaintances. A unique ability he posses, however, is his encyclopedic information on both technology and the secret working of the mutant struggle on the island- little strides could be made in the burgeoning radio revolution without him. He treats every opportunity as a business venture, as one more step towards a truly free Svalentia- and while he's getting there, he'll cause as much trouble for the Government as he possibly can.

Considered a smooth businessman. Has developed a wide system of acquaintances in order to gather supplies for his radio systems, as well as to garner information on sensitive subjects.

- Possesses one of the largest self-owned libraries on the island. Has written multiple hand-made copies of his favorite books in order to ensure their safety.

- The only person who knows the extensive system of radio stations he's set up is his faithful dog, Pavlov.
