Physical Description: Tristan stands at 6’2” and is muscular but not ripped. His skin tone is a gentle tan. He has artfully shaggy layered hair, black with white streaks in it. Sometimes he’ll dye the white streaks other colors, almost always something neon, but it’s usually gone within a week. His eyes are ice blue, but he has photophobia and thus always wears sunglasses and so few people actually see his eyes. He usually wears punkish clothing, mostly black, but sometimes with a splash of color, usually to match his hair. He has an abundant fondness for buckles, heavy chain accessories, and the like.

Silent Hero– Tristan may seem cool when he’s silent, but he really just doesn’t know what to say most of the time. He usually only speaks up when he has something to say.

Lonely Wolf – While he’s usually on his own and seems content to be so, he secretly longs to be part of a group that cares about more than his musical ability. He seems to exude a “tough guy” aura, which frequently scares people off.

Similar Minds – When he comes in contact with another music lover, he will “talk shop” nonstop, and will rise to a debate if the other party has differing opinions on the subject. This follows to some extent with art and poetry, but to a lesser degree, because his knowledge is also less.


Awkward – When it comes to romance, he’s never quite sure when to make his move or how. He’s bad at saying those three little words, and shows his feelings through actions better than through words.


Equipment / Abilities
Talents:

Rockstar – He’s an amazing guitarist and vocalist, and was leader of his band.

Magic Pen – He can write poetry on the spot, and writes all his own songs and lyrics.

Artist’s Touch – While it’s not his greatest talent, Tristan is an above average artist, especially with sketches. He can also do some painting, but is below expert level on it.

Mister Fashionista- Tristan keeps up with what's new and what's cool, but isn't afraid to mix and match for his own quirky style.

Failures:

Fear of Crowds – a terrible trait for one who is habitually surrounded by crowds that center their attention on the fearer.

Always with the Sunglasses – suffering from photophobia, a physical aversion to light, Tristan gets piercing headaches unless he wears sunglasses. This problem is so severe that he even has to wear them indoors and at night. Most people think it’s just a fashion statement and he’s too shy to contradict them.

They’re Ninjas I Tell You – Tristan has had problems with obsessive fangirls in the past, and so can be a tad bit paranoid sometimes.

History:

Childhood – Tristan was born in a hole-in-the-wall town somewhere in the Midwest, but as his parents traveled the country, he went with them. Tristan’s father, a famous musician, went on tour frequently and brought his wife and only son wherever he went. He died when Tristan was only six. His memories before that time are fuzzy at best. He has very few memories of the year after his dad’s death, partly because it threw him into chronic depression during which he did not speak. However, his mother, who gave the sorrowful child his father’s guitar, brought him out of this fog. Although this guitar was ridiculously huge for a small child, his mother bought him a child’s guitar to play until he grew into his father’s. He had missed a year of school, but through guitar playing, he recovered enough to return. However, even then there were some days he wouldn’t get out of bed, too lost in the memories to face reality. Despite the absences, he managed to power through elementary and middle school largely on musical talent; math was only easy in so much as it pertained to music, and art was like the visual form of music to him. He made it through English largely on poetry, especially if it was lyrical.

Teen years – He was accepted into a leading music academy for high school. With music as the school’s priority and not just his own, Tristan excelled, and despite his weaker subjects managed to get straight A’s. He even started his own band there, which was called Nocturne. His stage name was Nox. The group lasted for many years, going professional and having quite a few hits before the end of high school. However things changed just after graduation when Luna, the drummer, started dating Stellan, the keyboardist, and they eventually broke up, breaking the band at the same time.

Avoraci – Shortly after the band dissolved, Tristan glumly returned home to find a letter from Avoraci Academy in his mail…
