Laura Rhine

Determined to survive...

Laura is nineteen years old, standing at 5'8". She has straight jet-black hair, cut in a tapered bob, which ends just past her chin. She has striking blue eyes; her favorite feature. She is fair skinned, with well-defined features on her face, and big pink lips. She is naturally thin, but muscular; toned is an accurate description.

Laura almost never wears any make-up, but like many other girls her age, she is a little bit obsessed with looks. She just believes that you don't need make-up to be beautiful. However, she does love to paint her nails, and at the time of this story, her nails were painted with plain silver nail-polish.

Her favorite outfits consist of loose (but not baggy) jean, and form-fitting t-shirts. The day she disappeared and awoke in the tower, she's wearing a grayish-blue pair of jeans, with a purple, form-fitting Ghostbusters T-Shirt, and a plain black pair of converse.

Laura is your typical teenager. She's been in college for a year, and will admit to attending a few parties... However, she takes her studies seriously, and doesn't let anything get in her way. And she's that way with everything, very determined. Anything she finds that she is passionate about, she will obsess over until she's completed it, or has it perfect, depending on what it is. She is a very friendly person, and tends to get along with everyone. She does this by being quiet most of the time, and letting other people talk. Unless, of course, the other people aren't the talking type, and then Laura always has some story to pass the time. Despite her friendliness, it does take alot for her to trust someone. She prefers working on her own, and doing things herself rather than burdening someone else; or trusting someone else to do a good job. She lives by the saying "If you want something done right, you do it yourself." Because of this, she can come across as a little bossy, and definitely stubborn, but she tries not to be.

Laura took Tae Kwan Do when she was a kid, so she knows how to fight. She's also pretty quick-minded, and considers her intelligence a great asset; however she's also very imaginative so her solutions to problems can seem a little out-there. She's kept herself in good shape, and does gymnastics, so she isn't worried about be physically defeated inside the tower. However, she is pretty much useless with any weapons, and doesn't know much about first-aid.

Laura grew up "priveleged." Her family was by no means rich, but they were comfortably middle-class. When she was younger she was allowed to take all sorts of classes, and she particularly enjoyed Tae Kwan Do (a type of martial art) and gymnastics. She also always had good friends, and dealt with high-school drama like it was just another day. She was loved by her parents, her friends... She never had any problems. Which could turn out to be a problem, trapped in a tower with thousands of strangers...
