Synopsis
The Zealot


Description
Throughout his life, Drogo Thanatos has been a bit unusual in the looks department. Whether it be his extremely pale, almost translucent skin, his clear steely blue eyes or his blonde-ish white hair. None of it suggests his Halaan heritage, but his looks give Drogo a spectral appearance, earning him the nickname of Phantom.

This man stands at an intimidating 6 feet, 5 inches tall with a slightly muscular build. His aura has a foreboding nature, giving off feelings of dread and malice with its dark energy. At a mere 32 years of age, Drogo has accomplished what very few can in a short period of time: soaring through the ranks of the Order of the Black Sun and at the same time nearly completing his mastery of the dark arts.




Personality
Within Drogo lies a mysterious concoction of elements. Often times the way he expresses himself on the outside does not coincide with what he's feeling and thinking on the inside. Downright manipulative and sinister, this man gets what he wants no matter who suffers. Those who know him personally might describe Drogo as a dark and twisted man, despite his friendly smile and tone of voice. That face barely hides a horrifying inner self, one that would deeply disturb anyone unfortunate enough to get on his bad side.

But deep within the recesses of his black heart, there is some humanity left. Then again, it's not known if he can ever be the loving and caring man he once was. Shunning the path of light, Drogo's mind has been driven into darkness by Tasu'um and his power.


Equipment / Abilities
Equipment: Besides his typical garb of robes and pieces of armor, Drogo is often seen carrying a staff, sword, a strange orb and various potions. A few skulls adorn his belt and staff, all having an abundance of souls bound to them. Intricate and powerful rings can be found on both his right hand (index finger, middle finger) and on his left (ring finger and pinkie). The one on his index finger bears an image of Tasu'um, and the other three have some connection to his schools of magic (blood, necromancy and entropy).

Abilities: With his vast knowledge of magic comes a vast repertoire of abilities. Drogo has an average grasp on the school of magic known as entropy, and with it an average range of powers. His other magical abilities come from his extensive training in blood magic and necromancy. Since he's more disciplined in those arts, his abilities are a bit more powerful than average.


History
Once a revered member of the Circle of Magi in Orlais, the Zealot was excommunicated for dabbling in necromancy and blood magic. He left Orlais and fled to O'saze where he joined the Order of the Black Sun after extensive testing and climbed their ranks with unusual speed. Now he is of the most trusted cultists and the Doomsayer's right hand man.

Growing up in a family of very religious people wasn't easy for Drogo. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, he saw firsthand how the celebrated gods had ignored his peoples' prayers and offerings. It seemed that terrible things happened to his homeland no matter what the faithful did. This lead Drogo to try a different path, one that gave him feelings he'd never felt before. Tasu'um was his new god, a god that gave him a sense of power and control, not helplessness like the others.

Throughout the years, Drogo's powerful magic grew and changed but eventually he was found out and kicked out of the Circle of Magi. While he journeyed to O'saze, he heard rumors of a dark order: the Order of the Black Sun. His order helped him twist his magical powers into a near-mastery of necromancy and blood magic. He has dabbled in the school of magic known as entropy, but has not mastered it nearly as well as the other types of magic in his roster.
