Synopsis
A Gunsmith that Wishes to be the Next Merlin

Description

Name: Roland Reinhardt II
Age: Twenty-Eight
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Species: Human
Height/Build: 6'2"/Muscular
Eye/Hair Color: Blue/Dirty Blonde
Defining Marks: Has quite pronounced and powerful features that sometimes he is accidentally mistaken for Merlin's son (something that doesn't sit well with him). Beyond that he is both well groomed and taken care of.

Occupation: Gunsmithing

Personality
Strengths: Honest, Loyal, Steadfast
Weaknesses: Wavering Morals, Crass, Lacks Respect

With Roland- you would assume him to be another studious member of the gunsmithery until he opened his mouth. He is a man that leads with his attitude and lets his skill prove itself where his mouth doesn't especially do so. Many would call it a defensive mechanism and say that his real personality and background are cloistered by his attitude and words. He would just tell you that you are looking too far into it and that you understand him perfectly if you just shut your mouth hole and listened.

Beyond his attitude- well- there isn't much else. He is extremely loyal to the Merlin and his fellow gunsmiths even if you can't tell- because honestly they are better than his own family.

Equipment / Abilities
EQUIPMENT

Outfit: Good ole fashion well- fashion. Of course that is if he isn't working- then he is garbed like the rest of the Gunsmiths. Usually he is quite well-kempt for most of those in his profession and makes sure he is dressed to the nines. IDEA OF OUTFIT.
Weapons
A Rifle: The Sun-Downer. It is of his own creation, and made to allow bullets to ignite upon prolonged contact with air. They are supposed to be launched into an opponent and subsequently detonate. Of course he doesn't use the magic of the rifle with every single bullet as burning everyone from the inside out can get messy after a time and quite costly too.
A Knife: The Scryer. While it is not magical orb it is made of the same crystal that orbs are. So its' abilities are somewhat on-and-off. On occasion it can foretell exactly what Roland wants to know, but on others he'll see the fate of a bee halfway across the planet. Its' hilt is ivory and its scabbard is made of a dark metal that holds no gleam.
Other: Roland enjoys pretty things.

ABILITIES

Gunsmithing: While he is no Merlin he is quite talented. While a lot of his expertise falls into rifle-making he can also create quite skilled revolvers. Currently he is trying to improve this art so there is no doubt that he is the most talented to be Merlin's successor.
Enchanting: A What does make Roland so special is his enchanting abilities. He can imbue inanimate objects with literal chaos. Most of the time this leads to self combustion (which he uses for a lot his bullets), but other times it can have varied effects. If used on a human- well- lets' just say he hasn't been allowed to do that in quite some time.
Dark Magic: Roland's magic is a bit less refined than his enchanting abilities as they will always hit- even if what they hit with his a bit of a mulligan. His abilities lack the fine-tuning that is present in The Merlin, and most definitely the witch-queen of Avalon. It doesn't mean he is incapable of everything, but stronger dark arts and lighter arts are harder for him to meld to his needs.

History
Roland Reinhardt the Second seems to come from nowhere. Oh no he is far from some mystical vagrant that appears out of nowhere to save the day; but more so his background is so muddy that he really doesn't see the need to regal it. His mother is unknown to him, and his father was a rancher that lived outside of Camelot. When it seemed like Roland had a talent for creation, and on a lesser note magic- he was shipped off to be apprenticed with the rest of the gunsmiths. His education predating that was rather sketchy as it is assumed that his father couldn't afford a tutor, and that he had learned to read and write from the teaching of one of his father's ranch hands that happened to know a handful of words. Yet Roland was a bit of an overachiever and managed to catch up with his peers in a short time.

Since that time he is one of Merlin's more regular assistants, and can be seen hovering around him in an almost owl-like manner. He is always keeping an eye on the older man, but no one really knows why. Either way his duties have been piled onto him since Gunther Pendragon has rode off to take care of the Goblin King. He has no dreams of grandeur to set off on a great adventure- as he wants to be the next Merlin-, but might find that ultimatum landing on his feet sooner than later.
