Synopsis
♥ King of Hearts - Let them curse my name, but remember the truth.


Description
When one first lands eyes on Viggo, the thing that stands out the most is his hair. It is a firey crimson with a few small orange highlights near his forehead and it also has a soft spiky quality to it. He also has unusual-looking sideburns and long goatee that are as equally red as the hair on his head.

Another thing that's hard not to notice are his intense and bright ruby-red eyes. Unlike most other creatures, his eyes do not give away his age. Although Viggo appears to be in his early 30s, he is actually much, much older. His actual age is only known by a handful of people.

Something else that is fairly apparent is Viggo's height. He's a pretty tall man, about six feet, six inches tall. His body structure seems to be of an average build, but there is some muscle beneath his cream-colored skin. Beware: he's stronger than he appears. At a hefty two-hundred pounds, he's a formidable opponant.

The people closest to Viggo also know a couple of other things the average citizen would never guess about the fabled king. Besides his age, they would know that he just so happens to be bisexual and an elaborate coat of arms is tattooed in the middle of his upper back.





Personality
When you get right down to it, the King of Hearts is not your average person...and not in a good way. The King of Hearts has often been described in hushed tones as manipulative, brutal, dangerous and a bit seductive. It's always best to be on his good side...those who aren't are often found with missing limbs, if they are ever found at all. But beyond this tough outer layer he has a tender, although small, heart. Few people can reach this inner part of the King but the ones that do are the ones loved most by him.


Equipment / Abilities
Abilities:

-Power: Tyrant. The King possesses a truly terrible power within himself. When provoked to the point of seething rage, the King can activate an impressive ability. While this power is activated, the King gains immense strength and pain tolerance, but is blind to everything else except his target. The entire room that the King is in at the time explodes into a blur of violence and bloodshed, often resulting in blood-splattered walls and dismembered limbs strewn about the floor. He will not stop until the target of his rage is in pieces.

Very few things can stop this rampage...usually it's better to just let it run its course. After this outburst has subsided, the King is physically and mentally exhausted, leaving him rather vulnerable. A day or so of rest is required for him to function normally again.

Strengths:

-Sadistic Streak: Able to get whatever he wants...by any means necessary. Almost nothing is off-limits to this monster of a king.
-Silver Tongue: The power of persuasion is strong with this one. He knows exactly the right way to manipulate anyone and everyone to his will.

Weaknesses:

-Ticking Timebomb: Prone to small fits of rage, mostly consisting of threats of physical violence and cursing.
-Two-faced: Often times, the expression he appears to have disguises a more sinister inner self. Is prone to rapid changes in demeanor. No one can expect what mood he'll be in.


History
As one of the first creatures to appear in Wonderland, you could say that Viggo has been around for a while. Although he has not always been the King of Hearts, most creatures do not remember a time when he wasn't. In the beginning, Viggo was quite a different person than he is now. Back before the first Alice appeared, he was an introverted and unsure king, usually letting the queen make the decisions. Once in a while his kind and tender heart would encourage him to stand up and right the wrongs the queen had done, but it would never change anything. The king was in despair.

In the years after the first Alice left Wonderland, something changed inside the king. Slowly but surely, Viggo morphed into something truly terrable and frightening. Maybe that Alice had triggered something...but no one could be sure. All anyone knew was that Viggo spiraled down from shy happiness, to sadness and despair and finally, to sadistic venomous anger. Of course, this whole process took decades, but no one could deny it: their king had changed.


Extra
Likes:

-Booze Drinker: Bring him a nice bottle of wine or fine liquor and he'll be your best friend...for a while at least. Subjects tend to gain his favor by indulging this craving of his.
-Party Hard: Although the King is as mature and experienced as you can get, he loves to live it up and party until he's passed out on the floor. Getting the opportunity to Indulge his youthful, carefree side is his ultimate pleasure.

Dislikes:

-Disobedience: The defiant ones are subject to the Kings cruel and unusual forms of punishment. Some don't make it out alive.

Hobbies:

-People-watching: He takes pleasure in observing his subjects, getting a kick out of the way he can unnerve them just by being in their presence. Watching the way people act and decoding their body language is the King's equivalent to watching a soap opera.
-Hiking: A little-known interest of his is the natural world. The tiny soft spot in the King's heart gets joy out of just walking along a dirt path and gazing at the wonders of nature. He'd never admit it, but he feels blessed to have such a diverse and fertile land to rule over. The other kingdoms are nothing compared to the Heartland.
