"What- I- haven't even been on a date since- well yes dinosaurs walked the Earth."

"Just sitting around, reading, and maybe drinking over-priced scotch. It also might involve a cat."

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

"Free time? What is this mystical free time thank you speak of? I have a rebellion to help run. Damn you and your talk of free time."

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL LOVER? 

"I don't know. Nowadays I figure it is someone I can get drunk with and still wake up in the morning quite happy to be around them. In another time I knew exactly what I wanted and had it too."

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A PARTNER? 

"I'm not looking for a partner- unless you are talking about a partner in crime- then I suppose someone that has my back."

ANY TURN-ON AND TURN-OFFS?

"What-the-I-don't even think about those things anymore."

ANY PET PEEVES? 

"Oh I have plenty of those. People who talk too much, people who try to be your best friend post-haste, people that don't understand you don't want to talk about it, and people whose values are solely built on lies or how much money they make. Oh- and- also leaving the toilet seat up. Really? Whoever keeps doing that- I'm going to kick their ass."

WHAT IS ONE ADJECTIVE THAT BEST DESCRIBES YOU? 

"Survivor-ish. Damn adjectives."

HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU?

"I don't know-  I don't ask them. Grumpy maybe, sarcastic, having the inability to smile in a way that doesn't make me look like a mass murderer?"

HOW WOULD YOUR FAMILY DESCRIBE YOU?

"They won't, and if they do it'll be in made-up ideals that I have no ability to live up too."

WHAT IS YOUR POLITICAL BELIEFS? 

"Oh son, I'll be on that for a while. Either way I have seen the atrocities committed by those we like to call our leaders and protectors- and honestly- I'm not subjugating our next generation to having to deal with it."

WHAT ARE YOUR VALUES?

"To do what is right when the time is right, but beyond that- to do whatever it takes to get there."

ARE YOU RELIGIOUS? 

"I used to be, and maybe I still am a bit. But I think the most I ever pray is goddam."

IN A TEAM, ARE YOU A LEADER OR A FOLLOWER? 

"Pssht- what do I look like? I am the leader. Or at least me and my good friend the Phantom are. Good thing too- because attempting to get this little band together is like herding feral cats. You know- and I think it might be easier if we- I don't know- stop letting children into our fold."

DO YOU HAVE A MACHINA? IF SO, WHAT KIND?

"A water machina- yeah- I know and here you think I would have earth or something else easily as unmovable and grumpy as I am. Nope. I've gotten damn good at it too- I'm even able to manipulate ice with it. Now if only I could use that to seal everyone's mouth shut. My life might be easier."

DO YOU OWN A WEAPON? IF SO, WHAT KIND?

"My hands. I'm a damn good hand-to-hand combatant. Beyond that I keep a rifle on me for back up- because while bludgeoning a fellow to death is fun and all- rifles get it done faster."

PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND MACHINA ABILITY. 

Taggart is a 'jack of all trades master of none' sort of fellow. Physically he is imposing, strong, and somewhat dexterous given his height and figure. Truth is his hand-to-hand combat has been near perfected from years in the Imperial Guard, and then in the Rose Guard. But that involves him getting close enough to his enemy to fight- and so he picked up a secondary skill, and is actually pretty formidable with a rifle as well- or just about any long distance gun. I say formidable though and not an expert. He also has decent control of his machina to the point that it has branched into forming ice as well- then again this may have been a side-effect of his ever growing cold demeanor. Usually Taggart instructs from the back though- and is rarely seen in the battlefield fighting even given his countless years of experience.

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT OCCUPATION?

"If I told you I would have to kill you. Yes- I'm being quite serious actually."

WHAT IS THE WORST JOB YOU HAD EVER HAD?

"My elder sisters' 'dolly' when I was a kid. I swear if get squeamish around bibs and aprons."

WHAT IS THE BEST JOB YOU HAD EVER HAD?

"It wasn't really a job- and it isn't any of your damn business."

WHERE IS YOUR IDEAL HONEYMOON?

"Hah- honeymoon- that would imply I got married again. Been there- done that- I've got enough emotional baggage."

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL WEDDING? 

"I had my ideal wedding. Now lets come back to reality where that doesn't damn well matter."

ARE YOU A CONVICTED FELON? 

"No. Well I mean they haven't convicted me yet."

• He was an Imperial Guard before he became a Knight. And he was a Knight before he became a "vagabond, freedom fighter." 
• Within the ranks of the Rose Guards, The Masked had, through a series of less-than-mundane events, developed an easy, but close camaraderie with The Phantom and when The Phantom needed an escape, The Masked offered his assistance. Together, they staged the death of The Phantom and, for a long time afterwards, The Masked figured he would never hear from the man again. Until, of course, he picked up some noise about a rebellion and an all-too familiar lightening presence.  
• It didn't take long before The Masked pieced the story together. And it took even less time for him to work out an escape plan. He "died" and, in the same sour-manner, offered his powers to The Phantom. 
• Much like The Phantom and The Ghost, The Masked doesn't talk about his past connections. In fact, he rarely talks about himself—period . Unfriendly and "mean," The Masked's response to everything (good or bad) is sarcasm. Despite being incredibly intelligent, he is also incredibly rude. 
• He is at least 28, but can be older.  
• He possesses a water-based Machina and has advanced his technique to manipulating ice as well.
