History

I don't want to tell you some sad story about a girl who had no other option, i brought myself into this, so i have to live the consequences. It was a rainy night and the streets were left alone in the dark. 'I want this', it was my silent voice who whispered to the wind. A last teardrop felt down on the cold, stone pavement. Suddenly i heard a small, soft sound from behind me followed by footsteps. I wasn't afraid, i knew what it was. A cold temperature swallowed me in it's embracement. I turned slowly around and looked strait in Lewis flashing red eyes, he hated it when i did that, so he looked at the ground. 'Are you sure you want this, because i don't want you to…', i interrupted him by kissing his cold, soft lips. I've missed him, he has been away for days and i was worried. The moon shone on our skins. It would possibly be the last time i'd ever felt the beautiful warmth of the moon. 'I really want this Lew', i smiled, but deep inside i felt confused, i wasn't sure at all. Lewis, looked straight at me and lowered his voice witch he always did when he wanted to tell me something serous. 'Lisabeth, you don't have to do this, i don't want to turn you except if you're really sure'. He inhaled deeply, his eyes turned wide open and his pupils came brighter at the minute. 'It's a curse, i don't want you to feel this pain' He closed his eyes. I don't know what went on in my head at that moment, possibly lots of memories of my childhood, the things i would miss the things i would feel. The thirst, i tried to imagine the burning feeling in my throat, but couldn't. 'I want to be with you', i embraced him and didn't even feel the cold temperature of his body. 'I love you, Lisabeth', he said quietly.

That was the last moment of my human existence. Not knowing what would follow.

All i expected, all i wished for. It was stupid.

The following year, the last day of winter people started suspecting. We both lived our lives quietly, but, that didn't make a change. That year there was a wave of 'animal attacks'. People disappeared or were found death drained in there own blood. Lewis and i had nothing to do with it but, somehow. Hundreds of villager were hunting down the city to burn every single vampire. They were afraid, i couldn't judge them.

We tried to leave the city, to find a new place. But we were to late. I still remember how al Lewis warm, living, pure energy floated out of his body the moment the wooden stave drilled through is body. I saw his eyes turning darker. I screamed and tried to pull me out of the grip of the two strong men that were holding me. With his last breath he whispered to me: 'Lisabeth, will you marry me'. Everything went black, i had to do no effort to pull every villager away from me. With speed of light the two man were thrown away from me and with a hard crack they smashed against the stone wall. The two other men that hold Lewis dying body, ran of by seeing two of their strongest men dying so easily. 'Yes ! Yes Lewis ! i will' I screamed and ran toward him. From the minute he saw my face there turned a soft, almost invisible pure smile on his lips. For a minute our body's seemed so close and at the main time so far away. I couldn't cry, even when i wanted so desperately. He was gone.

Years passed, and times changed. And so did I...
