Laquanda was always a trouble maker. As a child, she often got into fights, pulled pranks, and did other various acts that only served to hurt others for her own entertainment. Her parents tried just about everything to get her to have some semblance of responsibility and self-control, including getting her pets that she'd just plain abuse, the poor things. Fearing the worst for her middle-school years, they sent her to a boarding school, hoping that might just do something for her.
Of course, Laquanda hated it, strictness and all, and this fueled her rejection of authority figures and might have even inspired her hate for any rules. But she did manage to meet a group of 'rebel' kids that were against the school; breaking various rules, vandalizing things, and pulling pranks among other things. Joining the group almost immediately after she heard of it, she gained her first sense of the 'Us Vs. Them' mentality. She also became bi-curious, experimenting with some of the girls there.
When she came back, dressed in her uniform, her parents were so proud of Laquanda for passing- Though at the time, they hadn't gotten her grades. They thought that surely she had reformed and that her childhood was just some sort of rebellious stage... skip to the 9th grade opening ceremony, where she lite firecrackers under the bleachers. From there, she became a full-on rebellious teen, and having some experience about this sort of thing before-hand only made her worse. She joined various cliques supporting anarchy, rebellion, and supporting the antagonists of books while missing the author's point ironically. Nothing seemed to faze her, even more suspensions, as her 'Us Vs. Them' mentality only continued to grow.
When she turned 18 and just barely graduated, her parents kicked her out, ultimately believing that drastic measures were the only option, and because they were very, very tired of her. Laquanda had to live on the streets, at first struggling, but her teenage years gave her much experience in how to steal things, especially how to get away with it. So, she got through on the streets that way, though was starting to have some second thoughts.
One day whilst rummaging through an abandoned house, she found a locked book with chains around it and, naturally, picked the lock, releasing an ancient being that tried to posses her. She put up quite a fight in not letting him take control, eventually accidentally opening one of the windows, letting sunlight in that bounced off of several mirrors that made the room very bright. It was blinding, and also painful for both of them, as bright light was the creature's weakness and Laquanda was hurt due to it having bonded to her significantly. They both fainted, and when they came to, Laquanda found the creature in what was it's 'true form'... Or, erm, a smaller version. Naturally, they began to fight again until they realized they could feel each other's pain, and soon enough realized that they were bonded together.
Begrudgingly, the creature helped her, not pleased that it'd have to teach her a language that he already knew and could speak if he just had a body. However, once they realized that they both liked disorder and chaos, their relationship has smoothened somewhat. Laquanda, now having amazing dark magic, decided to dub herself 'Chaos' and cause just that with her knew found abilities. They've gotten close enough to be 'friends', to the point of Chaos giving the creature the name 'Chornbog', and the creature accepting it. They now go from area to area, causing delightful panic and disorder whilst alluding the authorities, and also steal stuff because hey, why not?
