Synopsis
Dune Emperor, current Marutuk and ruler of the Empire

Description

Tall, dark and handsome, his youthful appearance belies the fact that he is actually 54 years old and currently burdened with the heavy responsibility of ruling the Empire, which he has trained for most of his life. As a Marutuk, he has double or perhaps triple the average human lifespan. He also superhuman levels of strength and agility that far exceeds what his lean build would suggest, but then again, he IS a Marutuk, and these abilities are simply standard for one of his genetic line.

Personality
As the new Dune Emperor, Leto strives to be a fair and just ruler, though he lacks confidence in himself. His predecessor, Saladin, had assured him that this was entirely normal before he left to become a military general. Leto knows that he must resolve his feelings of uncertainty quickly before his people and the overall Empire begin to suffer for it.

Equipment / Abilities
Has superhuman levels of strength and speed due to being a Marutuk. Also capable of permanent and accelerated learning, which renders training through repetition unnecessary and no grain of knowledge is ever forgotten. Anyone else would require extensive body and brain modifications for these capabilities, but for a Marutuk, it is simply genetic.

History
All rulers of the Marutuk Empire are clones of the original founder and Leto is simply one in a long chain of others. Like his predecessors, Leto spent his childhood learning the history and teachings of his genetic ancestor, then some more years training for his role until the day he was deemed fit to become the Dune Emperor. He spent a few more years under the tutelage of the last Marutuk, named Saladin, who served as advisor until he decided to leave the palace and become a general of the Empire military. No matter the amount of preparation though, the burdens of responsibility still weigh heavily on Leto. Many attempts have already been made on his life and myriads of problems crop up daily, though he continues to rule as best as he can. So far he has not done anything particularly notable, but his counsellors and people trust in his leadership.
