She is an orphan. When she was small, she lived in an orphanage. The babysitters and tutors did not allow her to play sports with other children. She was only allowed to take private PE classes. They said it was because her health condition was not good enough, but she never believed it as her performance in sports had always been excellent. Moreover, while other kids played normal sports, Reiko was taught how to fire different types of guns. Then when she grew older, she had the chance to see the administrator of the orphanage, who was in fact a member of the Vampire Hunter Society. He told her they had been treating her specially because she was physically different from other kids. Even though she is human, her blood is way more attractive to vampires. If she bleeded during PE lessons, vampires might be lured to the orphanage because of her blood.

She left the orphanage at the age of 12 as a family adopted her. Their house was next to the Baxters', that was why she befriended Constance. She clinged to her a lot and they spent lots of time together. When she was 14, she fell in love with a foreign teen living near their school. The boy was just like Constance, he treated the antisocial Reiko very nicely. They dated for a period of time but then Reiko discovered his true identity - his boyfriend was a Level C vampire. She saw him struggling painfully when he was lusting for blood. Loving him so much, Reiko let him drink her blood. He soon got addicted to it and nearly drained the girl to death for quite a number of times. Reiko was not scared though.

Then one day, the male vampire was targetted by a vampire hunter. Without telling her only best friend Constance, she decided to helped him escape. She ran away from the town with her lover but the vampire hunter still managed to tail them. As they confronted with the hunter face-to-face, the hunter fired his anti-vampire gun. Reiko sacrificed herself to protect the boy she was madly in love with. The bullets pierced through her chest and ribs. She fell onto the ground and gradually lost her conciousness and then breaths. The blood flooding out from her bullet holes arouse the vampire's bloodlust and at the same time he was furious as the hunter had killed his lover. Insanely, he attacked the hunter fiercely but ended up being killed by the experienced vampire hunter.

Fortunately, Reiko was brought to the hospital immediately by the hunter and had her life saved. She went back to Constance and and her adopted family with severe depression, though her friend's support later made her recover a lot from sorrow. She is now studying at Cross Academy with her old buddy.

She has a pet crow which she calls Rei. She likes crows since they are usually unwelcomed by other living creatures, just like her. As she has a soft side towards these black birds, crows seem to enjoy crowding around her.
