Synopsis
Classically trained bass player with a deep love for punk music


Description


Jesse is of average height, but of spectacular build. His muscles speak of an obvious weight lifting and exercise routine. While he is not built like a body builder, he is obviously well muscled and developed. While his body is quite nice to look at with its broad muscular shoulders and perfect posterior and shapely legs, he really isn't all that good looking. He's not bad looking, but one could not call his facial features anything more than average. He has plain brown eyes and an overly broad mouth. It is hard to tell what color his hair is, since he bleaches it to a white blonde color so it can take a plethora of vivid dyes when his mood suits.

He wears comfortable, baggy clothing. He is often seen in a wide variety of old band t-shirts from various punk bands- some known, some unknown. He seems to value comfort over style in his every day dress. On stage, he is often seen without his shirt on and almost never wears shoes either. Off stage, he seems to wear whatever is handy.


Personality
Jesse tends to be a bit of a comedian. He is a light-hearted soul who tries not to take himself or anyone else too seriously. He likes to lighten the mood and keep people in good spirits. He has a positive, but realistic attitude. He is just naturally a nice guy and for the most part, people seem to enjoy hanging out with him. He isn't pushy and for the most part he just goes with the flow. He is the sort of person who likes to do nice things for others and puts thought into their feelings without much of an effort. Jesse is a well balanced individual. He has a healthy outlook on life and, for the most part, is emotionally well rounded.

He doesn't judge people, but tends to shy away from those who tend toward cruelty and general meanness. He doesn't like those who bully others or insult others. He also doesn't like people who are closed minded or bigoted.

He does tend to be a fastidious in his finances and his health. He is careful with his money and actually has investments. He watches what he eats and while he does eat fast food, it is a rare occasion. He works out regularly. He does drink, but not really to excess. He has done a few recreational narcotics, but hasn't done them for several years now and doesn't feel the need to. 


Equipment / Abilities
Jesse plays bass- a 1971 Fender Jazz bass to be exact. He has a Carvin 2-tier bass amp to go with his. He also owns a stand-up, classical bass that he has set up with an electrical pick up.

Jesse writes music, just not lyrics. He is bad with lyrics.

Where he fails at lyrics, he is excellent at math. He has a degree in math and works part time as a actuary consultant.


History
Jesse was not always the cool dude he is now. In fact, when he was younger he was a super nerd, a dork or a geek even. He was part of the math club, the physics club, the computer club and the gamers club. He was just a hair's breadth away from being the sort of boy who wore a pocket protector and carried a calculator everywhere he went. The thing was he didn't even really care. His father is an engineer who designs jet engines and his mother is an accountant. His father is much older than his mother and part of the old school, stereotypical science crowd. He was just one of the peas in his family pod. And he liked it that way.

Aside from the ribbing one would expect someone like him to get in school; he had no real childhood trauma. In fact, he had a nice childhood. When he was a freshman in High School, his little sister was born- the family surprise. He dotes on his baby sister along with his parents. He loves his parents and his family and still gets along with them very well.

He started studying music when he was 10. He started playing the stand up bass and classical music. He progressed onto jazz music while he was in High School. While in High School, he discovered punk music and the alternative scene. While he was still a super dork in school, he really enjoyed the freedom of the music he heard and started learning to play it bringing his classical training to the form. He started writing music around this time as well, bringing a classical and jazz depth to the punk and rock music he wrote. Sadly- his lyrics were awful. No one could call poor Jesse a poet.

When he got to college, Jesse studied mathematics. He also started working out and fell into the music scene. This helped him to shed some of the remaining dork image he still had. He joined a few bands while he was in college- none of them kept together for long, but they all parted amiably- mostly due to Jesse's positive attitude and the fact that they really just separated due to graduation. He is still friends with all of the people he played with in the past.

He's only had two serious romantic relationships in his life. In High School, he dated a girl named Amanda for a couple of years. They eventually broke up, but remain friendly with each other. In college, he dated a boy named Adam for a year before they also broke up. They did not remain on friendly terms. Since then, Jesse hasn't had any serious relationships, but he has dated several people of both genders.


Extra
  • Jesse is bi-sexual. He truly doesn't seem to mind either men or woman and has openly dated both.
  • Jesse is allergic to pet dander, eggs, grass and dust mites. He takes daily allergy medication for this and gets allergy shots once a week.
  • Jesse wears contact lenses and is practically blind without them.
