Born to a loving gypsy family, Galen grew up in the underbelly of the city of London. Being a child of air, he found himself in love with storms and wind. He always loved going up to high places and as a teenager, would often run on the rooftops of the London skyline.
When he was fifteen, his mother was arrested for theft and sentenced to jail. Galen was then sent to live with his non-Romanian aunt and uncle and was enrolled into a private school. He learned quickly but seemed to have trouble paying attention, always moving from one project to another without thought or caring.
It was also at this time that he first discovered he could shapeshift. He’d been running from some bullies when he suddenly wished he could fly away like a hawk—and then he was! He could only keep his form for a few hours. Shocked, he kept practicing with his new found skill and power, developing it more and more. After gathering his courage, Galen asked his aunt and uncle what was going on. They explained that the power of the wind and bird had been in the family for generations, passed down through the line. In addition, they gave him a small necklace, crafted out of fine silver and a sapphire stone set in the center. "An heirloom," they said.
After this discovery, he did well in school, and enrolled in University at the London International School of Performing Arts where he studied acting.
After graduating, Galen stayed in London to work on several films and act in a few plays. Unfortunately, the wind does not stay in one place long, and as such, it was like with Galen. He quickly found acting irksome and had little patience or care for listening to directors. Galen moved from London to Postrema City to explore, to seek adventure.
